17.01.2022 In this image a Signaller works on a wireless set in Guildford, WA. Can you pinpoint the time period? Today is the 10th anniversary of UNESCO World Radio Day! Since 2011, 13 Feb has been a day to celebrate how radio has evolved, provided a platform for diverse voices, and connected people across space and time. What are some of your favourite radio memories?... Thank you Army Museum of Western Australia for the great image. You can find more like this and add your organisation's collection at www.collectionswa.org.au

07.01.2022 This weekend looks like a good one to head to the beach if you live near the coast! Can anyone name the Perth beach where this photo was taken? We will post the answer in the comments after the weekend. Hint: you can search Collections WA to find the answer using the keyword beach!

05.01.2022 Today is the National Day for War Animals. It is a day to reflect and remember the sacrifices and work of animals that have been in conflicts alongside our troops. This includes horses, dogs, birds and camels. This photo taken in 1918, is of Camel Corps Troopers with their camels in the Middle East. It is from the collection of the Army Museum of Western Australia and can be found on Collections WA at https://collectionswa.net.au//8597ca71-35e6-4352-bb56-d358 It is well worth exploring Collections WA to find more records of animals who went to war.
