12.01.2022 How many times should you wash your hair in a week ?? A question we get asked all the time ! It really depends on your hair type & lifestyle but as a general rule we say 2-3 times is normal. We do suggest that when you do wash, you do 2 shampoos followed by your conditioner or masque. Making sure your using the correct haircare to compliment your hair and scalps needs is important, which could mean mixing and matching your haircare products to suit. For example I only wash once a week if that, so I use a deep cleansing shampoo, then a moisture shampoo followed by an intense hydration masque every time. Tucking all those hairs away obviously stops it getting wet, but also stops hairline frizzing from the moisture & steam of the shower. Meaning your style will last longer & you wont have to spend time redoing it (this is how I get away with washing my hair only once a week). We all wash our hair (always shampoo twice) and condition it, once a week try swapping out your conditioner for a mask for extra hydration. We recommend washing 2-3 times a week. If your a newbie to the haircare routine life build up your collection overtime, you dont want to overwhelm yourself or your hair with lots of different things at once. Keep it simple and consistent to start with. 08.01.2022 The key to a successful BLOWDRY is to create tension on the hair when you add heat to stretch and set the bonds in place. This creates a smooth, shiny blowdry with longevity. Using a round brush I find is the best tool to do that. Mastering the rolling technique is a little tricky at first but with some practice you wont look back ! If thats not your style you can try using the brush to hold the hair out with tension and directing the heat from the dryer down the cuticle. Keep your brush & heat moving all the time to prevent heat damage. Try a lower heat and speed on your dryer when your beginning & use a nozzle to control the air flow. 04.01.2022 As we reopen on Monday we want to reassure you of the extra precautions we are taking in salon to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients. We are providing hand sanitizer for ourselves and clients to use during their visit, as well as sanitizing work stations and areas inbetween clients. We only have 2 staff members working per day, so we can spread out our clients to ensure social distancing regulations of 1.5m are met. With extra basins now installed we can comply... with the social distancing in the basin area also. They are not pretty but paper cups will replace cups & mugs for now. We are opening with a maximum 6 people in the salon at once (2 stylists & 4 clients), so we ask you to please not bring any extras to your appointments. We need your assistance as a client to ensure we are not apart of the spread by being honest to us. If you have travelled, been in contact with any confirmed cases or are feeling unwell or have been unwell, please let us know BEFORE your appointment so we can reschedule you.
