14.01.2022 Collegiate Pool Membership Cards It been great seeing everyone returning to swimming. Over the next week, Collegiate Pool will see the return of learn to swim under our COVID-19 Safe Plan.... To be able to reopen the pool during these COVID times, a number of operational conditions are essential to managing safe operations. The main requirement is to ensure management can contact trace people attending the facilities and a report produced at anytime for the Tasmania Health Department. To manage attendance and reports, a pool membership card has been introduced for everyone entering the premises. The Collegiate Pool staff are obligated to enforce to rule of no card no swim. Each Pool Membership Card has been issued with a unique ID card number, which identifies each person on entry. If you lose your card, this is effectively a key to the centre, which needs to be cancelled immediately. To reissue a new card requires a process that takes up to 4-5 business days. This is due to the special printing machine which takes time to program, is located in the school IT Department and looks after each department within the school. Temporary cards will not be issued as this does not comply with our contact tracing obligations and reporting. An additional requirement for reopening the pool is that management is required to reduce the contact time office staff have with patrons at the counter. Additional staff hours are needed in touch cleaning surfaces around the pool every 45 minutes. If patrons are at the window asking for special treatment to enter the pool due to forgetting or losing their card, this will not assist in the reduction of exposure pool staff to patrons and will also reduce their ability to clean surfaces around the facilities. We therefore ask for your cooperation to help us keep Collegiate Pool open and ensure it is complying with the COVID-19 Safe plan at all times. Kind regards Rachel Brennemo
