ABOUT THE CLUB The Adelaide University Soccer Club (AUSC) was established in 1935 as a single university team competing in the local competition. It has since grown to the largest sporting club within the Adelaide University Sport stable, by a substantial margin. There are over 650 members across 48 teams participating in youth, social women social men and elite competitions. Based in the Park Lands of North Adelaide, the club also utilises grounds in West Beach and at the Waite campus of the Adelaide University. PRIMARY PURPOSE The primary purpose of the position is to provide coach education, support, monitoring, and mentoring to allow coaches to conduct quality football sessions that will improve the technical ability of all players. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and assist with junior trials. Assist with recruitment of appropriate coaches. Compile and deliver coach education sessions. Ensure coaches gain and maintain FFA accreditation. Provide match day support to coaches. Compile off-season training programs to assist with continual player development. Support a positive and welcoming club culture. Comply with and promote Adelaide University Soccer Club, Adelaide University Sport, and Football South Australia policies and codes of conduct. Effectively manage club volunteers and maintain positive relationships with coaches, program coordinators, board members, and paid administrators. KEY OUTCOMES To develop and improve the technical ability of all Junior Boys players. To improve overall coaching standards of Junior Boys coaches. To improve coach satisfaction and support within the Junior Boys coaches. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Club Board: o President. o Chair. o Vice Presidents. o Treasurer. o General Board Members. Operations Coordinator. Junior Girls Technical Director. Club coaches. Parents/guardians of players. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential: Previous experience in a coach coordinator/technical director role. 3 years minimum experience coaching junior soccer. Exceptional communication skills. High-level organisation and planning skills. Valid working with children check. Desirable: FFA C License or higher. HOURS AND REMUNERATION It is expected that the role will require an average of 10-15 hours per week. Evening and weekend work will be required in the playing season. Remuneration to be confirmed with the successful candidate.
