25.01.2022 Good morning everyone. I thought Id do a post to let our valued clients, friends and family know we are ok and still operating through this tough time for now. We are very thankful to be able to. We are currently continuing our exterior projects where we are able to stay a safe distances from our clients and each other onsite. We have postponed our interior projects where the house is occupied. Vacant properties are still moving forward. While contacting my clients to move j...obs around I took the opportunity to check in with them to see how they were with supplies. A 65 year couple weve done work for before told me they couldnt get toilet paper or sanitiser. So sad to hear. So after work I went over and dropped off what they needed. I would like to say that this is a time to check in. If you venture out to the shops check in with your friends and family to see if they need anything. We need to stick together (from a distance) and support each other. Please know my phone is always on and if we can help Im only a phone call away. Stay safe and wash your hands CPD

25.01.2022 A cool little project today. Repainting a gazebo frame and poles. Areas that had rust were cleaned then had a coat of Rust Converter to bring the metal back to a sound substrate. Then everything got a sand with 240 grit, wipe down with vinegar/ water and 2 coats of Dulux Druamax satin black. Something different and another happy client. Have a great week everyone ... 25.01.2022 Our Ferny Hills project is well under way. We have started the first step and possibly the most important part of any painting project... The Preparation... The surfaces in this house were never sealed properly causing the existing coatings to fail. We have scraped back all the loose paint and applied a coat of sealer binder to create a sound surface for painting. We have more prep to do over the weekend and look forward to getting some finish coats on next week. Here is walk through of the preparation stage. 24.01.2022 So great working with likeminded clients. With an all white colour scheme on our Raby Bay project we decided to add a couple of feature walls to some internal weatherboards. Heres a sneak peek. 1 coat of SPU and 3 coats Taubmans Endure First Frost. More pics to come Boultbee Build

24.01.2022 Why replace when you can paint! How good do these bench tops look with a fresh colour. From red and white to Dulux Franklin River. We used Haymes Ultimate waterbased 2 pack epoxy. 21.01.2022 What a weekend! I was able to attend my 3rd Likeminded Painters Australia Conference held on the Gold Coast this weekend. We had a great line up of guest speakers. Big thank you to Clayton & Lousie Coughlan, their kids and the LPA Crew for putting together this amazing event. Great catch up with old mates and made many new friends. 20.01.2022 Something a bit different this week. From old varnish to white wash stairs. What a diffence! We first had to remove the old varnish coating. Using our Festool dustless sanding system it was an easy process. Once sanded we applied one coat of Porters Wood Wash. Then 3 coats of Intergrain Enviropro 2 pack clear with Ultra Grip added for non slip. Fun project and another happy client CPD... 20.01.2022 Double post Friday Our Brighton Homes Richlands project was in full swing this week with over 450sqm of fencing to oil. We applied 3 coats of Intergrain Natural Stain tinted to a custom colour. Huge shout out to my Dulux rep Brad for getting all the materials out to us with a late change of colour. 17.01.2022 What a week! We pick up our new Wagner Super Finish 23 spray unit aka Wags and had him working. Spraying Aluminum panels at our Fig Tree Pocket project and timber fences at our McDowall project. This unit is a weapon. So quiet compared to our piston pump unit and sprays very nice. 17.01.2022 Project: Kurwongbah rendered fence aka The Great Wall Perfect example why you should paint bare sufaces. Paint is a protective coating that protects the substrate from deteriorating, rotting, drying out and mold growth. This render has never been paint since being done 12 years ago Preparation: spray surface with environmentally friendly mold killer and pressure wash. Watch this space for the transformation to come. 13.01.2022 The Great Wall is done! Our Kurwongbah project is complete. This wall was built 12 years ago and was never painted. We were asked to bring over 200m2 of moldy wall back to life which was an easy task for the CPD team ... First we soaked the wall in our enviro mold killer and pressure washed clean. After drying out for a few days we applied one coat of Armawall primer followed by two coats of Armawall Armashield. The result is just awesome. Clients were very happy. 11.01.2022 Project: Kallangur We recently finished a project at Kallangur where we were asked to paint 150m of aluminum window coverings. Every length was cleaned, sanded, 2 pack primed and got 3 coats of premium exterior semi gloss acrylic. ... Once dry we reinstalled them for our clients. It was a great job and had some very happy clients. 09.01.2022 Finish photos from our Raby Bay project. How awesome is the Deep Ocean with white trim on the exterior! With an all Lexicon quarter interior colour scheme it makes a perfect canvas for artwork, furniture and fixtures to be the feature focal points. A splash of light blue on the internal weatherboards give a cool vibe to this amazing home. Bringing the whole colour scheme together and creating the perfect flow. 07.01.2022 This week we were asked to repaint 24 old oil based enamel doors with a sprayed water based gloss finish. All the doors were orbital sanded with 120 grit followed by 180 grit and 240 grit before finish coat. We applied 1 coat of water based undercoat followed by 2 coats of Haymes Ultra Trim water based enamel tinted to Lexicon Quarter. We had to turn our clients garage into a spray booth and use a door stacking system which allows you to paint many doors with limited space. T...he end result was a smooth and glossy finish and a very happy client. Big thanks to Chameleon Avenue for allowing us to do this painting project. 06.01.2022 We started stage 1 of our fencing project this week. We are working with Bespoke Landscapes on our Mcdowall project which has over 2500spm of fencing to be painted All surfaces are cleaned and dusted down. Then we apply 1 coat of Dulux 1 Step which is back brushed. Followed by 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield tinted to Colorbond Night Sky. Shout out to Ian Tite and his team at Hip Pocket Workwear and Safety Lawnton for our new high vis vests for our commerical job. Ian does ...all our uniforms and safety equipment. 04.01.2022 Small wallpaper removal project completed this weekend. I have never seen wallpaper come off so easy. Supposedly installed by a professional Well at least it was removed by one All walls were given a quick sand over with our dustless sander and vac then coat of water based undercoat, lots of patching, sand, a coat of sealer and two top coats of Taubmans Endure low sheen and we are all done. 01.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago we completed a cathedral ceiling repaint project. We were asked to convert the original 1950s clear coat to lexicon quarter low sheen. The preparation involved in this project was quite full on. All the timber was sanded then one coat of Zinsser Smart Prime was applied by spray. Once dry we patch all the timber knots and gapped where the walls meet the timber. After sanding the patches another coat of Smart Prime was applied and allowed 24hrs to dry. W...e then gave everything a light sand and applied two coats of Taubmans Endure Interior low sheen. What a difference. Changing from clear oil to white has made the whole house feel bigger and brighter. Thanks to our amazing client for allowing us to be a part of this project.
