25.01.2022 Grey gold is in. All 35m3. Starting to take shape. Footings and Slab are in. Had a good week at sunny braeview drive, with the boys putting in the effort to get this one ready for concrete. Time for lower level framing and steel and upper level foundations and brick piers. 20.01.2022 Lower level framing went in this week at the old beach project. We have experienced some small delays waiting on materials and some trades to get to site but still ticking along. With the brickie starting next week and the floor system getting delivered. A couple of big weeks ahead on this site to get a roof on. ... 07.01.2022 It has been quite awhile since the last update of Braeview... It's well on its way now and only a week or so until it's at lockup stage. The roofers are quite under the pump at the minute, as we all are with our work loads. But they were able to get this one done in 1 day... A huge effort from the lads at Ontop Roofing Specialists!... Looking forward to getting them back for the little bit of colourbond cladding in the next couple of weeks. Windows from Dowell have been installed! Our frame was inspected by James Hawe from Freestone Building Surveying. We take pride in the way we go about following the code and building standards, well above the "minimum requirements" (as it should be done). So when James mentioned during his inspection "It's a pleasure to visit a site that I know will be done by the book and the things we usually pick on other sites are already done and are more than required" It makes the extra time we spend making sure we get everything done to our minmum standard worth it, and that building HOMES and not just houses is why we go to work everyday. Thanks to Freestone for working with us to build better quality homes!! Thanks to Clennetts for the quality materials. Big month ahead for this one! -Smarter Energy Solutions (our electrician) are coming to rough in -Pennicotts Plumbing and Gas are waiting on our tapware to arrive and finish the rough in, ag drains, waste treatment system, water tanks, etc. -Crossin Bricklaying are coming back next week to finish the upper level brickwork We have quite a bit of work getting the battens on for the colourbond cladded sections, stairs made and installed, eave linings, showerbay set downs, and all the fixing points throughout - cavity sliders, etc etc. Enquiries for us have not stopped during the Covid period thus far and it's great to see for our industry down here in Tassie. 06.01.2022 Lockup stage! Big couple of weeks here at braeview. Claddings finished, eaves nearly complete, insulated and ready for plaster inside. Looking forward to fitting this one out and handing over to our client who has been waiting 4 years for their home to be built waiting on other builders to actually start.... While we have suffered a couple of delays due to the world situation. We cant wait for our client to walk into their new home for the first time within the next couple of months. Some exciting things happening for CB&M at the end of this year. Stay tuned!!
