25.01.2022 I'm often asked about the difference between heirloom, hybrid and GM seed so I've written a blog post for my website... https://www.collsplants.com/single-post//10/19/Seed---draft

25.01.2022 I'm beginning to think that blue tounge lizards are pranksters. This guy didn't move a muscle as I was weeding. I didn't see him until I was about to grab him. His name is Scallywag which is a generous translation of the actual name I screamed as I lept back 6 ft... #australianreptiles #bluetonguelizard #australianlizard #nurserylife #scaredthelifeoutofme #sorryiswore #yikes #snakescare

22.01.2022 From my email to subscribers of my website... "If all of the 420 people who follow my business Facebook page grew 1kg of their own food per week for one year, they’d grow 21,840 kgs per year. That’s over 21 tonnes of food per year. Impressive. And feasible." collsplants.com

22.01.2022 I never feel isolated in here

16.01.2022 YEEEEESSSSS!!!! HOME SCHOOLING!!!!!!*sarcasm overload*

16.01.2022 I got an email from a large, well known potting mix company lamenting that they need to put their prices up. Why? Increased international shipping costs on all their coir, peat, fertlisers and wetting agents. And here I am making my own compost from local ingredients. Smug overload. Hmmm... 'lowest prices at Bunnings are just the beginning'

14.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day you gorgeous dirty girls

13.01.2022 My hotchpotch dinner made entirely of my homegrown produce (except for 1 carrot). Potatoes, celery turnips, kale, silverbeet and spinach, leek and a mega spring onion all cooked in defrosted Roma tomatoes and veg stock. Yes you can freeze tomatoes. Yes, they're extremely watery but absolutely perfect for soup/stew bases. Once I grow tired of bottling and making sauces I freeze my excess tomatoes. I'm glad for it! (Oh and a couple of my teeny first broad beans)

06.01.2022 Here's a post I wrote for my website subscribers but decided to make it public. It's too early to plant tomatoes but not too early to get excited. You might find something useful.
