15.01.2022 A-Z of coffee general knowledge: AEROPRESS It’s inventor, Alan Adler is also the inventor of a high-tech frisbee called Aerobie and the Aeropress name comes from there. This amazing coffee maker was specially designed by Alan to make the perfect brew. It has a syringe like design, made to manually press so that the coffee goes through a special paper filter slowly (but surely) making a great brew. ... Let's say that you are going on a camping trip and you need a way to make coffee because you simply cannot go a day without coffee, then Aeropress maybe it's the coffee maker you’re looking for this type of trip. It's really compact and versatile, you can make great quality coffee AAAND it’s really easy to clean, who doesn’t love easy cleaning? Now, you must be asking yourself: ok but how do I use it? It’s very simple! First you bring your water to a boil, then you put a paper filter into the Aeropress detachable cap, followed by that pour a little bit of hot water over the filter and then attach it to the Aeropress, then you want to add the grounded coffee very carefully and double the water than you have coffee, let it sit for 30 seconds and then fill up the chamber with more hot water, after a minute has passed stir it thoroughly and then put the lid on and begin pushing. That’s it, you will have a beautifully made coffee. #coffee #coffeelovers #aeropress #coffeeday #coffeefacts #colombiancoffee #melbournecoffee

13.01.2022 Chemex Chemex is one of many brands amongst the pour-over methods, but it has became one of the most famous coffee brewer. The Chemex was invented in during the early 1940's by the chemist Peter J. Schlumbohm who also invented the water kettle and 3.000 more patents. The Chemex is composed by a glass funnel where the filter is held and connected by a channel to a vessel that is inspired in the laboratory apparatuscalled Erlenmeyer flask. But probably the most iconic ele...ment is the wooden handle that Schlumbohm added to his invention. The most unique aspect of the Chemex is not its shape but the filters used for the brewing. These paper filters are heavier and thicker than the regular ones which means that they can retain most coffee oils and the sediments that affect the final coffee flavour. This attribute of the filters is what famously allows the Chemex to produce a "clean cup". During the almost 80 years that the Chemex has been used to brew coffee it has appeared in several movies and TV shows becoming a symbol of the pop culture. Next time you visit a specialty Cafe looking for your daily coffee ask your barista for the Chemex method. We know you are going to love it. #colombiancoffee #coffeeorigins #coffeegrowing #coffeefanatic #coffeelovers #coffeegeek #coffeefacts #chemexcoffee
