18.01.2022 Spirit Dreaming by Anette Doolan Indigenous Australians are one among the native people on earth with traditions and customs going back to approx. 50000 years. Their belief system is built on their value & respect towards the land and the dreamtime. Though their dreaming about land changes between different groups, the idea of creation from their ancestors, stays similar; ancestors and forefathers sprang up from underneath the soil as spirits and started building mountains, r...ivers, waterholes, trees, and light garden for future generations. These ancestral spirits are considered as the creators and they are part of their day to day life. Aboriginals believe death is a transition to another life, where they consider the spirit taking a different form of life after death. Spirits or souls of these ancestral beings are transferred to a different shape such as a tree, river, mountain, garden etc. Anette Doolan comes from Santa Terese of Central Australia. She belongs to the Doolan family and speaks Arrernte language. Her dreaming’s mainly involve Seven Sisters, Dancing Spirits, Spirit Dreaming etc. The Spirit Dreaming is printed on 100% cotton fabric, stitched and reinforced on webbing. Cut from a larger design, giving each strap a slight variation and uniqueness. Available in brown or green in both guitar and ukulele. Made in Australia with genuine leather ends.

11.01.2022 We've had the orange dot design in our range for some time and it's been very popular. The latest in the strap range is this blue dot. Both of these straps feature the same design, just with different colour combinations. The artwork is called Women’s Dreaming is a very detailed design depicted by Geraldine Dixon. It is full of symbols and motif’s to illustrate a reflection of women’s business in day to day affairs. People collected bush food with digging sticks, sitting by the side of water. People are dancing and walking along the path. Some people are engaged in discussions with others. It is a beautiful piece of artwork. Printed on 100% cotton, the fabric is then stitched to 50mm webbing. Genuine leather ends. Made in Australia.
