19.01.2022 To all our followers, supporters and your families, from us (and not politically correct - I won't say happy holidays) - MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR and here's to a BRILLIANT 2021. 2020 has been strange - COVID-19, loss of a foal, but we had 2 beautiful foals, Smarty started her training, becoming ambassadors for #paddockblade and support of great people and family. I also want to thank Danni & Paul @ #paragoncutting, Matty and #Mathewhaynes Hoof care.

18.01.2022 ColorFX QUARTER HORSES Absolutely condemns the WIPING OUT of the Heritage Brumbies by Parks Victoria & New South Wales. Night shooting by helicopter is looming - which in itself is barbaric and mares & foals, stallions & youngsters will be targeted These precious horses that have survived drought after drought & recent bushfires have been culled by natural conditions ! They are also part of our history ... But, state governments want to destroy in the most ugly fashion when other more humane measures can be used - adoption & contraception Also very strange that these two governments, one headed by the moron Andrews, arent dealing with feral pigs or deer who do far more damage, but maybe the governments make money from them #danielandrews and #lilydambrosio you are both National disgraces and I wonder if your kids or grandkids are ashamed of you, and I know you are too arrogant to care, but as a 4th generation Australian Im embarrassed to consider you both Australians SAVE OUR HERITAGE EILD HORSES - BRUMBIES! Please sign petition https://www.change.org/p/the-heritage-and-cultural-value-of

17.01.2022 Colour FX Miss Nala (2019) for sale

16.01.2022 ColorFX Miss Nala has started her handling training and is being weaned. We are so appreciative of Danni and Paul of #ParagonCuttingHorses. Pauls comments Hey Grant Nala was very good. She was actually very light and picked up the simple training she was given. She wants to be good and was very compliant. I think shes gonna be nice little filly. She has a good mind and will come along well over the next week or so. Im very happy with her and you should be too. We will keep you up dated as we progress. Sorry video very grainy due to my upload

16.01.2022 Today, according to the 340 days average length for foaling, Niner has 4 weeks to go, and really hoping and that the universe is baking a filly for us. She is in foal to Homecreek Jokers Wild and most important healthy mum and bub, but hope not a chestnut - happy with all other colour options. Patiently waiting

16.01.2022 Repost taken from a #paddockblade supporter Amber Today I tried using the paddock blade in trailer mode. We reversed the blade and unhooked the front cable, then attached to the vehicle like normal. We used the blade to flatten/even up our arena. This is a great alternative to an arena grader. The blade also created a lot less dust then a standard arena grader. The paddock blade is such a multi purpose equine and farm equipment! @amber.h.equestrian... 16.01.2022 Just thought I would share a couple of pictures of Hope, our 2nd foal for 2020 from Ladies Dunin Ice N Sugar (Sugar). We knew she was a Dunskin, but with coat shedding we have a Dunskin Roan. The markings on legs, dun line and the colours in the tale - very unique. She has been sold to a family on King Island and we hope to see updates on her progress and Sugar.

15.01.2022 Well, we are in to February and the end of the breeding season (nearly), but for me great news is that Shorty appears to be in foal and we will know on the 10th and Diamond has finally been receptive to Ima Smooth Blue Cat (Smoothy) and will see on the 10th if she is on the way to a pregnancy. The benefit however is we wont have all mares foaling at the same time so the order will be Niner (approx 4th October), then Belle (7th October), then Sugar (approx. 14th October), and hopefully I am home for at least 3, then Shorty (oops due Christmas Day) and the Diamond, hopefully around 3rd January 2021. Patience now for 7 months. The photos are off Shorty (or should I say podgy)

14.01.2022 AmAQHA registrations for the mares only waiting on Pebbles

12.01.2022 Filly with strong cow bloodlines. ColorFX Miss Nala (AQHA pending), and should be eligible for Australian Stcok horse. Sire: Roma One (his dam is HSH special merit) Dam: A One Little Neraoak (Sire Catskills, by the legendary High Brow Cat). Nice athletic filly with an awesome stop, cow bred and pretty. Shed be a perfect campdraft, snafflebit prospect and possibly even a cutter. Shes got enough cow horse breeding in her. Her dam is a great broodmare to breed serious cutters/ cowhorses out of. Picture of Sire & Dam. Please pm me or call Brent 0424 074 257 located Mount Nathan. QLD

12.01.2022 I thought I would post a few more photos of Niner and her tummy with a baby cooking

10.01.2022 While COVID-19 is impacting all of us in one way or another, there are still things to be positive , thankful and excited about. For us as a family (Brent, Tash and my special granddaughters) Maggie and I it is foaling season. The most important thing IS, healthy foals and mums, and our journey for 2020 (as some people say the year to be forgotton) is a good year for us with the mares to foal as follow: Niner (Smart Little Niner) to Homecreek Jokers Wild in appprox. 7 we...ek (with 8 colour possibilities), all equal percentages 12.5% of Palomino, Palomino Roan, Dunalino, Dunalino Roan, Red Roan, Red Dun Roan, Red Dun and Chestnut (to the foaling gods, please not a Chestnut and Grant really wants a filly to keep Pretty PLEASE) Sugar (Ladies Dunin Ice N Sugar) also to Homecreek Jokers Wild in approx 8 weeks, and also same % as Niner, but options are Palomino, Palomino Roan, Dunalino, Dunalino Roan, Dunskin (same as Dude), Dunskin Roan, Bucksin and Bucksin Roan, (foaling gods, Brent would really like a Dunalino PLEASE). Shorty (Shorty Cat) also to Homecreek Jokers Wild - we are thrilled with this stallion and also #paragoncuttinghorses and she is due CHRISTMAS DAY (what a Christmas present as her 1st foal) exactly the same colour options as Niner, (foal gods again no chestnut please) We look forward to providing updates on FB and also on https://colorfxquarterhorses.com.au/. Again many many thanks to Danni and Paul BARNES (congrats)- #ParragonCuttingHorses - they have been exceptional

Also pictures of dad (really great nature) and mum ... https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/colorfx+heaven+n+hell

08.01.2022 Day 2 of being ridden. Thrilled about progress so far with Smarty thanks to #paragoncutting

07.01.2022 Absolutely devastated (actually gutted) that on Thursday at 296 day into her pregnancy, Shorty aborted the foal - no idea why and she is with vets due to this and making sure she is well looked after so we can at least breed later. The foal was a palomino filly, so extra gutted as this was Shorty's first foal.

07.01.2022 Shorty (Shorty Cat) the last of the mares is approx 15 weeks away and due Boxing day. In foal to Homecreek Jokers Wild and her first foal and excited to see this baby. Same as Niner, hopeful for a filly and not chestnut. This is older picture, and she was considered our land whale, but she looks good with the pregnancy

07.01.2022 Smarty in the care and training of #paragoncuttinghorses with Danni and Paul. Very happy with her progress. Smarty is by Catskills from A One Double Jay Jay (double cross of Freckles Jay Jay). Hopes for this girl

05.01.2022 Smarty being lunged.

04.01.2022 Proudly waiting for our foals to arrive. Many thanks to #ParagonCutting

04.01.2022 It's funny when we started this journey in 2018 it was to rekindle a passion from 30+ years ago and do something with my son and for and with my granddaughters. I decided on the horses as breeding Great Danes many many years ago, while really rewarding was in an environment of competition and nastiness. When we started in 2018, we started out with Niner (now retired) and Sugar (now sold) and we purchased a couple of other mares (guided by someone who didn't have our bes...t interests at heart, while we were learning - and while we don't have those horses now) and I realised with two or three purchases people weren't honest. We even ended up with a horse that had previously been ill treated (but she is a beautiful mare) and we still have involvement but thanks to a very special person - Heaven is now being a horse. At the same time we have met a couple of people that are honest and I sincerely hope that continues. What it has made me realise is that people have to earn you faith and trust, as I must earn theirs, but moving forward and until I can get home, our breeding and focus moving forward will be on our 3 broodmares, breeding quality foals and at best keeping one per year, but preparing the others to go to great homes. To all that follow us, be sure you meet good people who will help and instill knowledge and not look at it for the almighty dollar. 2020 was a tough year, not just with COVID-19 but lost foal, foal that needed vet help and a mare that did not go into foal after huge vet bill from a supposed specialist - even with this I have hope for our future focus and taking my time to see who is really there to help and who is there for themselves. 3 years of learning and 3 years getting to where we want to be - I'm really starting to appreciate patience and while we certainly don't know it all - lots and lots to learning, I'm glad I'm doing this with my best mate/son and two of my granddaughters. For all those starting out like us - find the people who will invest in you, for the benefit of you and your horses - they are out there, but like a diamond or gold - you have to find them. I look back at my Great Danes and breeding 5 Australian Champions and an obedience Champion and hope to replicate this with at least one of our foals.

03.01.2022 Babies first day of weaning.

02.01.2022 A positive day, Tiny (Dulces Tiny Image) had artificial insemination (AI) to USA stallion Palo Duro Cat - now we wait 14 days to confirm.. Over the next 14 - 30 days, we will confirm Diamond in foal to Ima Smooth Blue Cat, Pebbles to Homecreek Joker and the final for Tiny
