22.01.2022 Disappointed that I was not included in the online Christmas market because I did not realise that it was essential that I supplied a new image for the market. I would like to get something for my payment and support. Not happy.
21.01.2022 Devonport Spinners and Weavers Dyeing day and BBQ Saturday January 23rd... 10 till 3 116 Panatana Drive, Port Sorell. All welcome. Come and join us for our annual Dyeing day, this year at Carolyn Duncans home in Port Sorell. Plenty of space for you to park and set up amongst the trees. (+ big shed in case it rains) I will have several indigo vats underway, one traditional and the other using sugar as the reducing agent. Sonja will have our Landscape dyes for those that want more of a colour range. $2.50 per dip of indigo and/or $1 per teaspoon of dye powder. Each will dye 100g of yarn or a garment. I dye using a microwave and it can colour 100 g of yarn in 5 minutes so results can be quick. We will have some traditional pots on heat as well. Bring along items to dye: yarn in skeins, cotton or silk garments or washed fleece in net bags. Also useful are rubber bands or twine for tie dying, needle and strong thread for shibori. Gloves provided, but more would be appreciated. Reject shop have "Designer gloves which are cheap and great for indigo work. $5 admission for the club and as Sonja is providing the BBQ meat we ask if you could contribute a plate to the lunch table. RSVP by Thursday the 21st to Sonja at 0439859946. For any questions on dyeing message me or call 0448551034.
