22.01.2022 Preparing for that final exam can always seem like a daunting task, especially when you have multiple exams. A study schedule is often the best way to manage this and steps for an effective schedule are: 1. Know when your tests are 2. Find out what the tests are about and how much is being assessed 3. Prioritise your tests 4. Create your schedule... 5. Manage your stress levels, if your body fails then you fail your exams no matter how much you study See more

17.01.2022 Bad exam grades always happen regardless of how much you work to prepare for that exam/assignment. Rather than have it bring down your spirits, it's important to keep things in perspective and bounce back for the next challenge. 3 steps we need to remind ourselves are: 1. Don’t panic, think about the mark you got and understand why you actually got a bad grade 2. Get an action plan together so you avoid making those mistakes in the future whether its studying an extra topic o...r even allowing for more time to prepare. 3. Put that plan into action, no point coming up with it if you don't follow through. Also be ready to move on, 1 assignment doesn’t determine your future so get yourself ready to nail the next 5!

12.01.2022 Sometimes starting off a new round of school can be stressful for students. Useful things you can to ensure you remain prepared include: 1. Having your books purchased or at least on their way. That way you can focus your concerns on course content. 2. Get information on where to go for help if you feel the stress or just need some extra help with those problems. It's always useful to have backup plans during a stressful year. 3. Set up healthy ways of having fun like friends, exercise plans and hobbies which give you a brief distraction from study so you have time to switch off and relax before getting back into the grind!

09.01.2022 Some students ask us about the benefits of group study sessions and our response is always to be PREPARED. Some quick tips to hold effective group study sessions include: 1. Having group sizes ideally of 3-4 members (max of 5). 2. Choosing a group leader responsible for keeping the group on track and make sure no time is being wasted. 3. Come up with a structure of how the session will work i.e. how long the sessions are, what topics are to be covered, how much time is allocated to working on problems/questions.
