Debris left over from manufacturing in the coolant chambers means that the ford engine blocks can wear away the factory cooling units like sand paper causing them to split and fill the transmission with coolant. Fitting an external bypass cooler kit will eliminate this risk of the factory heat exchanger causing this problem and potentially saving you from needing a complete overhaul of the transmission.
