12.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SALE TOPPERS We wish to Congratulate Neville & Susan Duncan and all the crew at Oakland Park Stud on topping the 2016 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale with Lot 474 a colt by high profile stallion Snitzel out of the mare Beauty World selling for $700,000 which is also the second highest priced yearling in Victorian history. Lot 474 was one of a draft of 6 yearlings CHT moved from Oakland Park Stud to Blue Gum Farm, Euroa in November for their final... prep for the Inglis sales. It has been a very interesting journey to listen to Neville and his vision to mate some mares back in 2013 specifically aimed at producing a draft of yearlings for the Melbourne sales in 2016 which history has now proven what an astute and dedicated breeder he is with a great vision for the future. Combined Horse Transport are very proud to have been a part of this journey not just moving the mares backwards and forwards for this very successful venture but also for the many years preceding that have seen Oakland Park Stud produce some outstanding Bloodstock gracing their presence on Australian racetracks including the famous Northerly. Combined Horse Transport are very grateful for the opportunity to work with such professionals for so many years and look forward to many more to come and wish Neville, Susan, Adrian and all the OPS crew every success in the future. Congratulations are also in order for Brent Atwell of Darling View Thoroughbreds and the Western Breeders Alliance with the day 1 sales topper and selling 4 yearlings over $100,000 with a top lot of $170,000 at the recent Perth Magic Millions sales. Darling View Thoroughbreds have also been very successful on the track with horses they have bred including the recent Rivers winning the $250,000 Magic Millions 2yo at Pinjarra. Brent is a very enthusiastic and relatively young breeder which has to be beneficial to the future of the Industry and we wish him ongoing success and appreciate his continued trust in us to move his valued Bloodstock Interstate. We also congratulate Graham Daws of Dawson Stud for their success not only at the Perth sales but also on the East Coast where they continue to produce top class yearlings that are in high command as a result of their disciplined breeding program they have worked hard on to build up over the years. We thank them for their continued support over many years to move their high class Thoroughbreds.

I will have no hesitation on using combined in the future and recommending them to other equine travellers. A very special congratulations to Wayne on such a lon...g and successful time in the horse transport business. Wayne you transported three of my horses from Perth to melbourne and Tasmania 20years ago, Fleur at that stage was just a 2 year old, sadley my other two horses are now deceased. Once again Wayne congrats on a very long and successful time in the industry. Kind Regards, Shirley Waller :-):-):-) Sent from my iPhone See more

10.01.2022 Getting ready to make its maiden voyage across the Nullarbor next week. New Volvo prime mover and refurbished Mega Ark II ensuring the safety and comfort for our drivers is optimum which in turn puts your horses safety in the best hands. CHT continues to be the industry leader in innovation & maintaining the MEGA ARK fleet as one of the most modern and technically advanced in the country. Horse welfare and safety remains our number one priority closely followed by a reliable and informative experience for our owners in their quest for equine excellence. YOUR HORSE MATTERS !

10.01.2022 First Bondi Foals for Lynward Park WA-based Lynward Park’s Snitzel sire-son Bondi has his first foals on the ground and among the early-season deliveries is a colt from multiple stakes winner Fontainebleau, reports tbwa.net.au. The Alfred Nobel (Ire) mare won a Belmont Oaks and Starstruck Classic and the colt is her first foal since retiring to stud. Interestingly CHT not only moved Bondi to Lynward Park but moved this foals Grandfather, Alfred Nobel (IRE), across the Nullarbor several times when he was shuttling from Ireland.

09.01.2022 Introducing Barengarra CHT Victorian Headquarters Welfare of horses is paramount on 250 acres (101.17 hectares) of lush pastureland in the highlands of Central Victoria. This is Barengarra on the Springhill/Kyneton Road, headquarters of Combined Horse Transport (CHT) owned and operated by former equestrian and trainer Wayne Kiely. Wayne bought Barengarra at the end of 2010, after returning from three years training horses in Germany. This seemed the perfect place to headq...uarter CHT, Wayne said Geographically, it was selected as being central to the route between Adelaide and Sydney and with its close proximity to Tullamarine and the new quarantine station on Mickleham Road, I couldnt have located at a better spot for the transport and most importantly the welfare of travelling horses. Barengarra has water in abundance, with several crystal clear dams fed by natural springs, amazing old gum trees and Cyprus tree lined paddocks providing maximum shade and shelter. Ample rainfall and cool summers result in lush and well-established pasture. Well-established pastures fenced with horse-rail The property has been developed using top quality horse rail fencing (the safest fencing for horses with small currents of electricity running top and bottom) and purpose-built stabling for overnight equine guests Stables are fitted with rubber floors and complemented with rubber-lined, covered yards and Barengarra also provides safe paddocking to allow traveling horses to run a bit of energy off. Wayne hands on with the horses Barengarra is a purpose-built, spelling facility for horses in transit and the perfect environment for a staggered journey for broodmares visiting shuttle stallions and returning home with their foals. Agistment facilities are on the drawing board. Out-door full size arena for national travelers There is also an outdoor arena for interstate competitors, to stable and work their horses leading up to major competitions. The Barengarra facilities include a comfortable rest area for drivers, equipped with kitchen, lounge area and separate toilet and shower. After developing CHTs Mega Ark fleet, I felt it was important to improve the welfare of horses, on short and long hauls and to establish our presence on the strategic East Coast, Wayne said. To make sure that horses are best equipped for travel, a hands on approach, with our own spelling farm, is the way to go. At Barengarra all that is possible, we supervise the care and monitor our equine clients health, control the feeding regime and provide a first class facility to transit horses, while also ensuring our drivers are rested and ready for the long haul.

08.01.2022 Jukebox (Snitzel - Jestatune) Congratulations to Neville & Susan Duncan and the Oakland Park Stud crew on the success of Jukebox. We moved Jestatune from Oakland Park to Scone in 2013 to be mated to Snitzel and then back home with Jukebox in utero. Jukebox was than transported back to Melbourne in 2016 for the Premier Yearling Sale where he was purchased by Ciaron Maher. The Ciaron Maher-trained Jukebox has confirmed his standing as one of the leading Blue Diamond contender...s with a comprehensive victory in the Inglis Premier at Caulfield. Maher selected Saturdays sales-restricted $250,000 race as an ideal lead-in to the $1.5 million Blue Diamond Stakes later this month, and the colt didnt let his connections down with a two-length win under Craig Williams.

The Alfred Nobel (Ire) mare won a Belmont Oaks and Starstruck Classic and the colt is her first foal since retiring to stud. 07.01.2022 We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Gorrie from the Kalgoorlie Quarantine & Inspection facility. Bill was the stock inspector who had devoted his working time to The Department of Agriculture WA for more than 30 years and was responsible for the design and implementation of the current facility in Kalgoorlie which will go down as Bills Legacy and remain something he was very proud of. Bill was very passionate about the facility and he worked diligently to ensure t...he WA agriculture sector was protected from any animal or plant related diseases entering WA via Kalgoorlie under his watch. Bill was always very helpful and accommodating to make sure the processes went as smoothly as possible and at times of fires, floods and more recently Covid he was always obliging, as the most eastern of WA contact with helpful information to keep everyone safe and well informed. We send our condolences to his family and work colleagues. RIP Bill. See more

07.01.2022 Congratulations Terrina Fairbrother & "Savio H" Congratulations to Terrina Fairbrother & Savio H making his Aussie dressage debut at the Christmas in July Dressage Comp winning both his Advanced tests in a strong field with 65.197 and 65.714. Great to see Terrina back out at competitions and what better way to do it with 2 wins on her newly imported Savio H. Savio recently made the trek across the Nullarbor on a CHT Mega Ark after being imported from Holland. Well done and all the best for the future from the CHT Team !!

05.01.2022 Combined Horse Transport are very conscious of the crazyness in the world at the moment and are taking all recommended precautions to ensure our drivers, horses welfare and the wider community are kept safe and avoid any spread of COVID-19. Your horses are important to us and we understand some frustration many of you are experienceing. Contact one of our friendly team by the normal means and we will do our best to help.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Steph Spencer and Redskin on their first outing since their arrival on the East Coast at Boneo CDI. Fantastic scores and results from such a young horse at this level and a new combination to the East Coast after travelling all the way from WA. A great start to their campaign leading up to the Australian National Dressage Championships in Sydney in just a few weeks for which we wish them the very best of luck.

04.01.2022 LATEST NEWS All the best of luck to Jackie Lancaster and Diamantini who have once again made the big trek across Australia to compete at the Australian National Dressage Championships at SIEC in NSW. Diamantini is a very seasoned traveller and I have to say he looks the best I have seen him this trip. Good luck to you both. All the shuttle stallions arrived safely in WA to commence their stud duties Down Under. CHT was once again commissioned to move these very expensive stal...lions to their respective studs after they were released from Eastern Creek Quarantine Station. Congratulations to all the Inter School rider and horse combinations the competed successfully at the Australian Nationals held at the National Equestrian Centre, Werribee Park. It was a pleasure to host some of them here at our Victorian base Barengarra to train before entering Werribee Park for the competitions. Great job well done and thank you for supporting Combined Horse Transport. Garry Hall and Greg Bond continue to dominate WA Pacing both with multiple winners at several major meetings in recent times. We thank them for their continued support. It was a great pleasure to move Nevin Boticas champion trotter ( square gaiter ) Sundons Gift back to WA to spend his days of retirement at Nevins Myalup property. Sundons Gift raced until he was 11 years old amassing 41 wins and 17 placings throughout Australia, NZ and Scandinavia proclaiming to be the worlds best trotter of his era. The first of the Brood mares with positive pregnancy tests have arrived safely back in WA after visiting Northern Hemisphere shuttle stallions on the East Coast. CHT were at the right spot at the right time to be able to assist the Welsh Pony Breeders who were unfortunate enough to have the axel on their float bent by the gates as the wind swept them closed and into their float as they passed through at SIEC during the horrific winds experienced on the East Coast earlier this week. The ponies enjoyed their ride on one of our Mega Arks and arrived safely in Melbourne later that evening. There are too many to mention but we have seen many quality quarter horses, thoroughbreds, warmbloods, Arabs, Gypsy Cobs, Welshies and family pets to mention a few pass through our property here at Barengarra where they have enjoyed their break during transit. Many thanks to all the owners for their support. Congratulations to Oriel Douglas, Tracy & Corrie on the safe arrival of your Totilas colt foal and thank you for your continued support. Keep on finding those horses as you do.

03.01.2022 Hi NQHT and CHT, I'd like to thank you all, along with Skinner's Transport, for the safe arrival in WA of the Majestic yearlings from QLD this week. You were very patient and helpful during the initial planning, with all my emails and long phone calls. It was reassuring to have everything fully explained, and given so much of your time, including updates during the trip.... You both must have done a wonderful job of the actual transporting, as the horses arrived looking fantastic. Barely lost any weight over the two and a half week journey. No rub marks or grazes, friendly natures intact, and straight into the food and water. No signs of travel sickness so far. My horse Picante took only 18 hours to sleep off the trip before he was up and getting into everything. I will certainly recommend your services to anyone purchasing a horse interstate, Kind regards, Jodie Hayton.

03.01.2022 Beauty Is as Beauty Does at The Valley Always great to be part of these stories having transported Beauty World to the East to be mated to Written Tycoon and back to WA after Written Beauty was conceived then back to the East for yearling sales and several trips for Beauty World to be mated and ultimately when she was sold. Yet another great breeding feat by Neville Duncan and his team at Oaklands Park Stud - Valued clients of CHT... Monday, 26th October 2020 - Breeding and Racing Not that he needs promoting, but Wodside Park Stud’s stawart stallion Written Tycoon, on loan to Arrowfield Stud for the 2020 season, has a red hot prospect after Friday night at Moonee Valley. Trained by Team Hawkes, 3YO Written Beauty set a new 1000m time standard of 56.92sec in Race 6 when eclipsing Nature Strip’s mark. Ridden by William Pike, who had touble crossing on the easing favourite ($1.55 to $1.75), Written Beauty could have done even more damage on the clock with an inside marble. Orginally trained by Brian Guy on the Gold Coast for her first two starts, the rising star’s first start for Team Hawkes produced a new 1100m track record at Canterbury in Sydney. The really scary part of her run is not the track record Hey Doc also set a new 1200m mark in the Manikato but that she was only really getting into her work over the last 150m. A half-sister to Group and Listed-winning horses Lite’N My Veins, Hi World, Luvyamadly, Ducimus, American Crew and Where’s Wally, there’s noting in her pedigree to suggest she won’t get at least a mile. Owned and raced by Orbis Bloodstock, who also campaign Gr1 Golden Rose runner-up North Pacific, there is no sales record for Written Beauty who is rapidly becoming worth plenty.
