24.01.2022 Are you thinking of Christmas, presents and food preparation...here is your countdown!

24.01.2022 So I attended an Enjo event tonight..I wanted to hear Roxy Jacenko, Sally Obermeder and Barb di Corti (Owner of Enjo Australia)- all three are inspirational ladies and when an event is free, you go! Inspirational ladies, doing their own thing to make a difference in the world. I have to say, Roxy Jacenko is one funny lady, will be the first to admit her wrong doings, laugh at herself and acknowledges her failures. What we see portrayed on social media isn't what it appears..a very down to earth hard working person.

22.01.2022 Homemade pumpkin soup served with homemade bread. I used the everyday bread recipe in the Everyday Cooking Cookbook for Thermomix families. Proofing the Dough in the ThermoMat reduces the required proofing time. See the difference in volume size? The pic showing the change in dough size. I separated the dough and weighed each ball to 85-90 gms each. For the soup, I roasted half a butternut pumpkin, sautéed garlic and onion for 3 min on Varoma temp sp 2. I also added a carrot and half a cauliflower head - chop on sp 6 for 10 sec’s. Overall I cooked the soup for 20 mins, Varoma temp, sp 2. Once finished I puréed for for 1 min. Remember to turn speed dial to sp 5 and then gradually to sp 9 as demonstrated at briefing or demo.

19.01.2022 Thought I would share what we have enjoyed for dinner recently. Last night we had rustic Chicken Galette..that was awesome! For dinner tonight we had Lamb Spezzatino. Both recipes can be found on the Cookidoo - love that I have 26,000 recipes at my fingertips. And each night was accompanied with a Peach Margarita from danivalent.com.au. #LoveHowICanMakePerfectPotatoMashEveryTime #LoveMyTM5... #LoveMyThermomix See more

18.01.2022 On this cold autumn morning and after spending 1.5 hrs at Taekwondo without heating (what were they thinking?), Luke and I come home feeling chilly (ok I was)...so I go to make my usual coffee only to discover the microwave is not cooperating... understandably it is old...so I place 340 gms of milk into the tmx bowl, on sp 4, 70 degrees for 5 mins and heat the milk. Once the timer goes, pour my milk for coffee and add two squares of 70% dark Lindt chocolate to the remaining milk to create Luke’s hot chocolate...who needs a microwave anyway.. #LoveMyTM31 #LoveMyThermomix #LoveTheConvenience

17.01.2022 This is a lovely story on how Jo Whitton's (Quirky Cooking) story began. From experiencing allergies herself, to overcoming the biggest obstacle involving her son's health. Food is medicine. Jo's story explains how changing our food and being aware can make a difference to our health. I have a few copies of the latest cookbook written by Jo and Fouad. Life Changing Food is a hard copy book and can be used to create meals to suit all family members. The book costs $60, with be...autiful photography, tried and tested recipes. 16.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's, Step-Dad's, mum's doing the role of both parents, grand-dad's and those providing a father figure role to a child. Your contribution to each child, helps shape the person they will become in the future, congratulations on doing an awesome job! For Father's Day dinner, we had chicken 3 ways Asian style. Served with coconut rice (using the automated function) and stir-fry vegetables. Caramelized Chicken - this baby gets done the traditional... way. Skinnymixers Satay Chicken; and Lemongrass Chicken - lemongrass, garlic, brown sugar, shallots done in the Thermomix before marinating the chicken ribs. See more

14.01.2022 Morning All! It’s Pantry/Fridge Staple workshop week and I’m going to share with you, various staples you can make and save yourself some $$$. Most recipes can be found in your TM31 Everyday Cookbook (EDC) or the TM5 Basic Cookbook (BCB). I make a lot of these for my own pantry/fridge. The first staple I’m sharing with you today is Baking Powder. You can find the recipe on page 21 in the EDC or page 38 of the BCB. Both are GF, but you can also find the recipe in our Glute...n Free Cookbook. Cost wise, the Cream of Tartar is the most expensive part, but if you look at how much baking powder is created, making it ourselves is cost effective. When I made this last batch of baking powder, I had another jar half full. The quantity lasts me a long time. This recipe can be doubled rather easily. Mill your rice in two batches of 100gms each. Then combine all ingredients. This is a great addition to any Xmas or birthday hamper. How can baking powder be used? I don’t buy self-raising flour anymore. Instead, I add 1.5 tablespoons to every 1.5 cups of plain flour. I have perfect results every single time. I’m saving money by not buying self-raising flour and I’m saving myself storage in my pantry. What are the benefits of making it yourself? The cost is by far the most obvious one, but did you know some baking powders contain an anti-clumping agent? Its the same agent used in preventing pre-grated cheeses from clumping together and refined table salt (rock salt is better alternative) just to name a few. I use the baking powder in my homemade chocolate slutty brownies...which are simply delicious...Have a great day everyone!

04.01.2022 What did you have for dinner tonight? We had three pizza’s for $6..yep, $6. Three bought pizzas from Jessie J’s would cost us close to $30. With exception of the 2 x $3 containers of mozzarella, the remaining ingredients where in the pantry and fridge. Here are the toppings - 1. Leftover ham on the bone shredded in the Thermomix. 2. Left over pan seared chicken thighs (dinner last night). These were roughly diced by hand.... 3. Homemade tomato paste (2 x cans tomato’s, 30gms of balsamic vinegar, salt and a little sugar to balance flavours, 25 mins, sp 3, Varoma temp. 4. Caramelised onions (recipe part of the Chicken Galette on the Cookidoo, I didn’t include the bacon.) See more
