25.01.2022 KINDY MEET AND MINGLE 2020 Today we introduced our prospective parents to our current kindy teachers and Principal. In this session we covered some of the most commonly asked questions regarding the kindy program and gave parents the oppportunity to ask questions. Mr Watson gave an introduction to Comet Bay Primary School and parents had a browse through our informative displays, met the teachers and other families whilst enjoying a tea or coffee.
24.01.2022 LEGO Masters A big appreciation to everyone who entered our very first round of Comet Bay’s LEGO Masters Challenge: Build Your Dream Pet! We had so many wonderful entries so it was a very hard job for our Year 6 Tech Team to judge on Thursday afternoon and it was with great deliberation that we have decided to choose winners from each year group! And the winners are: Kindy: Aliya Mitchell P/1: Mitchell Charlesworth Year 2/3: Amelia Simpson... Year 4/5: Jaidyn Charlesworth Year 6: Abbie Roberts Congratulations! 22.01.2022 Good Standing Reward Our P-3 students are enjoying this water filled reward today. We appreciate their fantastic effort and attitude over the Term. We might even throw a teacher or two on there.
20.01.2022 Congratulations to Comet Bays newest published illustrators Abigail May, Emily Moore and Becky Green. On Thursday these budding artists were presented with a framed copy of their original artwork published in the story book ‘Pindan Dream Princess’ by Sylvia Lockyer. Students at local schools were given an opportunity to read the unpublished text and interpret into illustrations. The top illustration per page was chosen and published.
20.01.2022 Growing Together Day We have had a great start to Growing Together Day with our choir performing beautifully and two ‘Outstanding Community Support ‘ pavers being presented to Susan Horsfield and Jo Maclean.
19.01.2022 Future Leaders Congratulations to our Year Five students who presented their student councillor speeches to over 200 of their peers on Friday. You were all amazing and made us all proud
19.01.2022 Community Support Thank you to our families who donated food and toys for the local Christmas appeal. These items will be handed over to Mr Papalia MLA office to distribute to local families in need.

13.01.2022 Leaders Leading Our student councillors hosted Madeleine King MP last week and shared their leadership stories with her and asked her questions about her experiences. Following a tour of the school, Mrs King presented our councillors with 3 new flags for our school.

02.01.2022 SUBS in Schools Congratulations to Sienna Fiorini and Grace Siekman who competed in the SUBS in schools competition in Bunbury last week. Their team, The Whale Sharks, designed and made their own underwater submarine, created a trade booth and presented their product to a panel of judges. The girls won their age division and also beat the Year 8 ‘s and came away with a trophy and a wonderful experience. The girls completed their work as part of the Nautilus program run at Comet Bay College.
