14.01.2022 Hello, Lizzy here I have been debating over the last few days to quarantine as much as possible. I’m feeling really guilty about it but I’m not well unfortunately. I’m not sure what Coronavirus really does and I’m not sure I have it but I’m sure if I called the number I would be told to isolate... Apart of me thinks, oh it will be fine I just have sore throat and sinus infection. I’m just being paranoid... But another part knows this isn’t going to just end in a few days and we all go back to our normal lives. I feel a strong pull to self isolate and not preform services at this time as I have clients who are elderly and have health concerns. And my services are at a personal contact level. I have clients asking when they can rebook and I want to book you all in but don’t want to disappoint anyone by cancelling again. I would like to say I should be fine in week but that doesn’t mean clients will be next week. I really I hope I haven’t caused to much disappointment or anger and hope you all can see this will be benefiting you as you don’t know what clients have been in before you or where and who they have been with. Some of you may think this is overreacting but I have family members with cardiovascular disease and diabetes and cancer This isn’t about me and hope to see you all returned ASAP stay safe and stay healthy Sending my love

07.01.2022 Hi guys, We are opening on Saturday!!!! But have very limited spots until the 19th of June New updates:... We are trialing a new booking system So if you click the BOOK NOW button. This will take you to a site, choose what you would like and a time and day. You will then be asked for your details and a card number. Please note that you will NOT be charged until you service has been complete on the day of your appointment. Once you have done this once, you will be able to simply login to book, cancel or reschedule. Please note we do have a cancellation policy now and it is all explained when booking online. Some of you may also know now that due to some health conditions I (Lizzy) am unable to preform nail services for a few month so our dear kimmy is taking over the nail side Her prices are $50 for acrylics/ polygel and $5-$15 extra for nail art. She’s the bomb at it! She will be working Tuesday’s, Friday’s and Saturday’s from 9am -5:30pm. 05.01.2022 Dear clients, There's something you don't know about what's happening to the hair colour industry and you shouldn't be in the dark any longer. Hairdressers ar...e in a colour pandemic. Have you felt frustrated after seeing hundreds of images flooding your social media of beautiful immaculate colours, yet somehow your hairdresser can't achieve it? Maybe you have seen celebrity transformations or hairdressers online performing 'miracle' dark to light colour changes? You're looking for the same results, and rightly so. After all, the results of other people's hair is everywhere, why can't it be you? I'm here to tell you that firstly, so many of these images are retouched, or with the saturation changed to make them look cooler paired with selected angles or extensions to hide damage. But here is the embarrassing part, there's a small percent of hairdressers that are actually doing this themselves! But wait before you judge, let me explain. When other starry eyed hairdressers see these images, just like you, they are wowed. This leads to feeling obliged to compete, they too want to feel they are as good as as the last person of course. They also produce unrealistic images which again go online with no information of the journey of the client... and so the damaging cycle continues. The next issue is time. The videos you see on Instagram of incredible transformations are never done within the appointment time us normal folk can afford. In fact, most of these clients have paid for a colour specialists attention for an entire day. This means you'd need to be paying what a hairdresser can take in an entire Saturday - ouch! But this is rarely made clear to you. When a regular hairdresser is presented with these images and videos, they feel the pressure to get the same results on a fraction of the money, in a fraction of the time. Sadly, this is leading hairdressers in this country to have a confidence crisis, because they can not and never will be able to compete. Not only do you loose faith in them, but they loose faith in themselves. Finally, the most terrifying thing is that so many of these awesome colours you see are actually not created with your best interest, but to create 'likes'. Countless amounts of these colours are completely unmaintainable, have no future options for change and or cause damage. Remember when over retouching and skinny girls got out of hand in women's magazines giving us unrealistic ideas of what is real, this is what is happening to hair. I just want you to know client's, it's not your fault, it's ours. But I assure you this is coming to an end. Just as runways stated to monitor models weight and as magazines stoped excessive retouching, Not Another Salon will be helping to push the industry into a place where your hairdresser will actually have half a chance at making you smile.
