19.01.2022 Vale Ben Goldsbrough who passed away this week. Ben was a long time Comets player and coach and will be sadly missed by all. Our thoughts to his family, Justine, Jack and Ivy. The funeral for Ben will be live streamed in the Scylla Bay Room at the Como Hotel at 11 am on Wednesday 4 November. Please book with the hotel on 9528 9900 if you are attending. Our senior teams are asked to wear a black armband this weekend as a mark of respect for Ben.

09.01.2022 Great to see so many kids pre-register and come to our Try Baseball and T-ball day on Saturday. It was a great afternoon and we look forward to seeing many of the kids back over summer. A big thanks to Comets’ juniors Emily, Lila, Harry and Lucas for making such a great contribution by introducing our game to the kids.... Also thanks to the super BBQers for cooking lunch while keeping it COVID-Safe: Emma, Kristin, Suzette and Julie. 04.01.2022 The rain is resulting in many games being cancelled for October 31. Best way to keep in touch with updates is via the Team app. Download it and sign up, then search for "SES Baseball Wet Weather Info". Choose CSJBA for junior games.

03.01.2022 JUNIOR SUMMER SEASON Due to many circumstances, grading nights will not be held for junior teams this season. A team selection committee has been formed to create teams base on relationships, friendships, age and ability. We will be using coaches grading sheets from last season and what knowledge we have of the players.... The selection committee is made up of members of the club executive, the club coach and a variety of experienced coaches from across several age groups. We would have loved to have held grading trials, but it just wasn't to be. It also means that we won't be able to accept registrations on these nights, as we have previously done. This means that it is even more important to get your registrations in before the selection committee meets, to guarantee your spot in a team. The selection committee meets next Monday and Tuesday.
