19.01.2022 Happy Sunday arvo everyone.... This is your friendly reminder to plan and prepare for the week ahead. This doesn’t just include meals, it includes exercise, fun stuff (besides exercise ), and if your a parent, it will likely include cool stuff with the kids while they are on school holidays. Don’t start Monday completely disorganised, well that doesn’t work for me anyway. ... What a great weekend. AFL season over for my family with a very exciting grand final win for my daughter Lily’s women’s team. I swear I burnt a million calories watching the game. Nothing beats an upset game, coming in as the underdogs to beat the undefeated team. The team effort and sportsmanship all season by these chicks has been inspiring Big week at Commit2fit as always...... Mums group is running 8.30am, earlier than usual in the school holidays. Safe travels to clients away and keep all the pics coming to me of what you are all up to. I love it I’m looking forward to a night hike this week. I usually train early morning into light but reversing it this week. Can’t wait ! Have a great week xx

17.01.2022 What is everyone up to ?? Well I’m reading, enjoying quiet time with the family but also smashing out my training too. Big year coming up so wanting to stay focussed while still enjoying downtime. Pondering what to study this year too. PTs - I will be in touch also to secure your bookings for this year to see if we can possibly squeeze extra classes in. Trying my best to cater to the demand while keeping my own balance ... Not our usual Christmas holiday weather but next week is looking like perfect beach weather I’m running 2 classes Monday evening... i will take up to 14 per class due to demand. 15.01.2022 I absolutely love fruit, particularly berries, and vegetables. As I was cutting up this fruit for my darlings when they all get home, it reminded me how important variety and colours are. I often encourage my clients to aim for at least 30 DIFFERENT plants each week. It is so important for your gut flora to add plant diversity. Something you can control is what you choose to put in your body. I order my fruit and vegetables online. It’s delivered to my door and it also allows... me to branch out with what I order. I hate wasting vegetables so if I order more variety it forces me to cook it ! Thank you Gourmand Providore. I’m also very fortunate to get a great collection of oranges, lemons and limes from clients who grow them I challenge you to count your plants for the week !! AND can I say, passionfruits and pineapples are amazing right now

15.01.2022 A few hours for me today.... somehow What do you get up to when you get a few hours on your own ? For me, take me down the National Park, anytime ! As much as I love my training buddies, it’s actually nice sometimes to go it alone and enjoy the serenity. Back into the trail training for me and yay to Friday. ... Hope your day is great xx

There is one second between 2020 and 2021 and nothing will change except how you respond to the challenges of life. So, I wish you all a most wonderful, safe, healthy and HAPPY 2021. Make it a good one, go on adventures, live YOUR best life, acknowledge you can do anything . 13.01.2022 In programming my group sessions, not only do I individualise the class for EACH individuals abilities and goals, it is also crucial to ensure it is a balanced workout - everytime. Incorporating balance exercises and mobility is high on my list. Taking the time with each client at classes to ensure they understand where the movement is coming from is important. My goal for clients is a long life of fitness and health ! Pain and injury free, strong, good mobility, flexible, fit and happy. 11.01.2022 Hope your Monday is great Here is a great real life story for you ! Although I absolutely consider myself fit and healthy physically and mentally (most the time), I’ve had hereditary high cholesterol over the past 5 years. Every year I try so hard to keep it low in fear of needing medication. Every other aspect of my blood work is always good.... So about 2 years ago I cut right down on sugar (which I didn’t have much of anyway), and also dairy. That year my cholesterol dropped a little bit was still classed as high. About 1 year ago, I adopted a mostly plant based diet. It felt right for me and how I chose to eat. I also believe it is a healthy way. I was warned by my doctor about my iron likely to drop. Well, after my blood test last week. Cholesterol now down so much it’s in the normal range and iron levels exceptional. This is my story, a real life, real person story. I’m not telling you to cut all animal products but I absolutely believe your health can benefit from having some meat and animal product free days. It’s great to look and feel fit but it’s even better to know your insides are healthy too. Phew..... was happy to get that call. My doctor advises me whatever your doing, keep doing it as your bloods are amazing

07.01.2022 Seriously.... how quickly does this week fly by. It’s crazy. But hello weekend I love reflecting on a Friday evening about the week that was and it always brings me a smile no matter what. The ability to look for positives needs to be engrained in oneself. The ability to acknowledge the week had challenges, but to choose to put focus back to the positives, needs to be perused. This week at Commit2fit there were some temporary changes to classes which we adapted to no sweat... what a great team I have who just get on with the task. Lots of GREAT training, groups and private’s, lots of smiling faces, lots of people happy to be doing what they have learnt to love, lots of talking about habits and mindset this week and lots of icy cold mornings As for the coach.... new study is coming and I look forward to chasing goals How is your Friday night looking ? I’ve just had a fantastic reiki session (thanks Em xx), now it’s a wine and David Attenborough (those who know me know I LOVE David). Have a healthy and happy weekend everyone xx

05.01.2022 It’s amazing how the mind works. The hint of a warmer week and knowing Spring starts tomorrrow. Such a mood booster after a challenging winter for all. The seasons always make us appreciate the next. Well, I will be squeezing in my first swim of Spring this week and the beach is all I can think about. Who else loves a swim in the ocean, even if the water is freezing ? Bring it on I say. 7 classes this week and a full week of PTs. Happy days outdoors, have a great week xx

05.01.2022 What a fabulous weekend of sport in my family. AFL, AFL amd more AFL. Some wins and some losses but overall just a bunch of kids who love playing ball. My eldest plays in a women’s side and this awesome team of chicks came from years of barely winning a game to smashing it straight into the GF next week so exciting !... Now, as much as I love watching my kids play AFL, I’m kinda excited for the next chapter of early morning hikes, days at the beach and best of all, hiking to the swimming holes. I will be sure to post our best finds Right, back to the Sunday arvo cooking, love starting my week on top Look forward to seeing you all for another fabulous week of PTs and group training. 05.01.2022 Sunday afternoon....what an amazing day Ever thought about that dress you really want to feel amazing in, or that exercise you really want to perform with ease ? Or even to make it through the weekend not feeling like a train wreck Monday morning (as you reach for that wine). It doesn’t matter what your goal is, it’s your goal and no one else’s ! Such a true statement - a goal is a dream without a plan. Dreams are wonderful, I’m a huge daydreamer ! I believe anything ca...n be achieved, but you need a specific goal, a plan of what is going to change to achieve it and a deadline. The only thing standing in your way is your commitment to the plan Huge week ahead - as usual ! Let’s enjoy some warmer weather while training in the great outdoors. I know I will be cheering at 5am with temps over 8 degrees. Spend a small amount of time tonight planning and preparing... food, exercise and fun stuff xx
