24.01.2022 Last week, Committee for Brisbane CEO Barton Green presented the Premier, Deputy Premier, Treasurer, Opposition, Greens and KAP parties with the policy commitments requested for the 2020 state election. One of the policy requests submitted is the "Brisbane as HQ" program. In partnership with the private sector, the Committee recommends Queensland develop a suite of business and talent attraction incentives for companies to headquarter in the sunshine state.... 24.01.2022 Last week we held our sold out event, Building Greater Brisbane's Innovation Ecosystem. Keynote Speaker, Dr Sarah Pearson, Deputy Director-General, Innovation from the Department of State Development, Tourism and Innovation, spoke about the importance of Queensland putting innovation at the top of its agenda. Thank you to everyone who attended the event.

This year’s theme celebrates the achievements of women in managing a year impacted by COVID-19 and looks to a future made brighter by the contribution they make to Queensland. 17.01.2022 Last week we hosted a panel event at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on the release of the 2020 Inner City Vitality Report. A panel of experts from Star Entertainment group, Queensland University of Technology, National Retail Association, Dexus and Griffith University's Cities Research Institute shared their insights on how Brisbane’s inner city has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. 17.01.2022 As part of the Committee's policy commitment requests to the State government, it was recommended that schemes be implemented to support Queensland's important live music sector, among other arts. The "1% Fund for Music" and "Percentage for Art" schemes would support artists, technicians and venues in Queensland's multi-billion dollar entertainment sector that employs tens of thousands of people.
