10.01.2022 Did you know? ENJO Fibres are zero-waste, in what we call a Cradle-to-Cradle life! While the Fibre is created and right through the production/sewing process, all waste pieces, trim and extra fibre is collected to be recycled. During their life in your home, your Fibres create a zero-waste cleaning routine for you. ... When they've lived out their 3 years helping you create a healthy home, the Fibres are returned, to be shredded and recycled. This material is then given new life as car seat stuffing, insulation, playground equipment and agricultural sheeting. This is just one of ENJO's practices that leads ENJO to being a member of the Carbon Neutral Alliance. Isn't it great to know that you're doing something kind to the Earth, while also ENJOying the benefits of ENJO in your home? #ENJOlife #ENJOPure #Cleaning #CleanWithoutHarm #ZeroWaste #Sustainable #CarbonNeutral #EveryoneShouldKnow #MakeADifference #EarthFriendly
08.01.2022 Important news Today is Earth Overshoot Day. What is that? Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year.... In 2020, this date is later in the year - last year we’d used a year’s worth of resources by July 29. This year’s pandemic has reduced our footprint - but not in a sustainable way. We need more people and organizations making more sustainable actions to reduce that footprint. What can we do to help #movethedate and reduce our resource use? Check out https://www.overshootday.org!

01.01.2022 I love that there are all sorts of green smart initiatives these days and was impressed recently with an article in The Cairns Post about 10 ways to achieve a... sustainable home- go green and help the planet with these handy tips for your home Plants - indoor for better air quality and a well placed tree outdoors for shade and cooling Repurpose - eg glass jars, packaging, paper Save water - fit low flow taps, have a rainwater tank for the garden Buy energy efficient appliances Use energy efficient lighting Use solar or instant hot water systems Turn lights and appliances off when they’re not being used No junk mail - if you like to browse certain store catalogues sign up electronically Air dry your clothes Grow your own vegetables- even a herb garden in pots And then here’s my additions - Use sustainable plastic free products - bamboo toothbrushes, soap and conditioner bars, cotton buds, cloth nappies, shaving bars, safety razors, to name some Buy bread and rolls at your local bakeries- not packaged in plastic; take your containers to the deli, bulk food store, markets, butcher Recycle as much as you can - minimise- think wisely when you’re spring cleaning - if you haven’t used an item since the last spring clean it’s time it was repurposed or recycled to a new home. Clean with ENJO - zero waste, carbon neutral, and repurposed at the end of its life into ceiling insulation See more
