23.01.2022 Calling all singers and Musicians! If you'd like to join in the next Choir Video, see tomorrow's Banyule Network email, or contact Sandy (or PM this page) for access to the lead track. The two songs this time are "For Everyone Born, a Place at the Table" and "Brother, Sister Let me Serve you." All those who take part must have a WWCC registered with the Network. It's a simple process and Sandy or John Rowe can talk you through it if you need help. Join us! The more, the merrier!

20.01.2022 FINALLY - here is the video of last month's Messy Miners Noah's Ark extravaganza! See how the 'story build team' of kids aged 9-18 built the story. How we praye...d in Minecraft. Check out the kids own build challenge creations and hear what the kids and grownups had to say about what they enjoyed. This is a great watch if you're interested in this exploration at being a Digital Intergenerational Community - co lead across generations as we work out together how to tell bible stories, pray and have fun together whilst we're all locked down. Check it out! Blessings - Sandy https://vimeo.com/466366182 See more

20.01.2022 See you all tomorrow morning for our first gathered service of Common Ground since lockdown in March 2020! We'll be meeting in the actual Church at Scot's 185 Burgundy Street - at 10 am. Coffee in the Sycamore Tree afterwards! Don't forget your mask and device to QR code in! We will be asking the question: "Under whose authority?" As we think about Jesus calling his disciples and casting out demons in the beginning of Mark's gospel. See you all tomorrow!

16.01.2022 Hi Common Ground folks!! Sally Douglas has just shared this video made by one of the kids in her congregation (Richmond UC) which is pretty thought provoking and interesting! Have a look!

16.01.2022 A few people have been interested to know how prayer has worked in Minecraft. Here's a 2 minute vid our "Noah's Ark" prayers: We made a 'microbuild' symbolising something we were worried about or wanted to say sorry for, and then Blew it up with TNT! Symbolising God Taking it away and us being forgiven. One of the kids reflected at the end: "I liked experiencing that God can come into my mind and take the things that worry me and blow them up!" A brilliant, wise 9 year old understanding of prayer that has been resonating in my mind ever since! As always, I'm interested in your reflections.

14.01.2022 Here is the link to the Christmas Day Service - 9am here, or at Gresswell in Bundoora as a Gathered Service.

11.01.2022 Yesterday we had our first ever Messy Minecraft session! Kids from all over the place gathered and heard the story of the Wise and Foolish Builders, and then enjoyed a build challenge of their own! Here's a little clip of the fun that we had. :-)

09.01.2022 The Messy Miners explored the story of Nehemiah in Minecraft yesterday! Thanks to Jonte, Jacob, Oliver and Sophia for their hard work - but particularly to Jonte of masterminding the whole thing. Thanks to the Adult 'support' leaders who also rocked: Mel, Paul V, Paul M and Cathie. And thanks particularly to our friend Beth Barnett for letting us adapt one of your poetic playdoh scripts! Here are some screenshots of the action - it's going to take a while to edit video this week!

07.01.2022 Join the Banyule Network, Manningham Uniting Church and Transcona Memorial United Church in Winnipeg Canada for an International Christmas Eve Service.
