25.01.2022 David & the MTAQ Racing team will be lapping the Townsville Street circuit supporting the V8 Supercar Circus shortly. They'll be doing it with CommSpeed Support & trialling a new set of Baofeng DMR - 1701 Digital UHF Radios. David & the MTAQ team are all about cost effective performance gains & technological innovation leading to on track gains. We are hoping this new equipment does just that. And if David can remember to unplug his helmet before getting out of the car, that would help as well.

25.01.2022 It looks like there is no form of motorsport that great cost effective Radio Communications can't help with & provide a competitive edge. Today I worked on putting together a solution for a pilot/driver of a nitro RC Buggy & his pit crew. This solution needs a VOX operated Headset for the driver & a normal headset for the crew. By utilizing some OTH Headsets, & some Analog or Digital Radio Handhelds not only have we tailored a package, but we are well under what market price is for similar kits. 22.01.2022 CommSpeed has supplied Ben with a Rugged Radios 4 person Headset intercom with over the head headsets. After seeing the multi part documentary about the team's first Dragweek & seeing how hard communication was between everybody in the Cresta I contacted Ben, & suggested using a Rugged Radios Intercom Set. I have also outfitted the team with some Baofeng DM-1801 Digital UHF radios, & the required cables & accessories to make it all work.

22.01.2022 What a great weekend away at the 2018 Muscle Car Masters. Plenty of great racing & certainly plenty to look at. C'mon, you know you want to! 14.01.2022 I'm looking for a "Digital Guinea Pig"! Are you a TA2 competitor willing to trial a Digital UHF Radio System instead of your current Analog Motorola/Vertex VX261 radios? I will supply you a set of Digital Baofeng Radios set up with your frequency (digital), & the Race Control frequencies (analog) & the required cabling & antenna adaptor to suit your antenna. All I would like you to do is trial it & tell me if it is a better system than the analogue. At anytime if you don't like it, you can quickly & easily revert back to your Analog VX261 radios. Darren came to me asking if I could come up with a solution for communicating whilst he was doing his charity ride around Mount Panorama. 11.01.2022 Ben on his first drive (with comms) in the Cresta leaving Virginia Motorsport Park with the rest of the Dragweek Crew (Phil, Al & Ben). The Rugged Radios RP696 4 Position Intercom handled all the chatter, had an output to the camera so all the banter got captured, & had an input for music in, or navigation.

Even though Cameron didn't buy a complete radio system from us, he is utilising the Rugged IMSA loom & cables with his Vertex VS231 Radios. His crew talk to him using an orange behind the head Rugged Radios headset.
