19.01.2022 Great to have Lesley Furneaux-Cook as the lead candidate for Metro Director for the Community Councillors Network. Lesley is an experienced member of the LGNSW Board and has been a Councillor at Burwood Council for several terms. She's part of our great team that want to put a bit more spark back into the fight to keep local government local.

17.01.2022 Great to have Tom Sherlock running for President of the LGNSW Board (and lead candidates Lesley Furneaux-Cook and Dominic King) . Pictured below at the Cootam...undra by-election campaigning yet again against forced Council amalgamations and for local democracy. With Tom as President we can be confident that LGNSW will finally stand up for local government and local communities.

12.01.2022 Along with Lesley Furneaux-Cook we have Dominic Wykanak standing for Metropolitan Director on the LGNSW Board. Both Lesley and Dominic are from Councils (Burwood and Waverley) that would have been amalgamated by the Liberal Government if it weren't for the community run Save our Councils NSW campaign. PS Did we tell you that our candidate for President, Tom Sherlock, is a founding member of Save Our Councils NSW? The Community Councillors Network support genuine local government!

10.01.2022 Great to have Dominic King as our lead regional candidate for the LGNSW Board. Dominic was popularly elected as Mayor of the Bellingen Shire in 2016 and was a Councillor in the previous council. "The reason I would like to run is that I feel that currently the Board is not functioning anywhere near its true capacity in terms of its influence on State Government Policy around Local Government."

09.01.2022 One of the best kept secrets of our lead candidate for Regional Director on the LGNSW Board, Dominic King - Mayor of Bellingen Shire, is that he played 200 games of Union for Parramatta - some time ago!
