25.01.2022 Good for users... and businesses Unlike other economic models where the economic aspect prevails over the social or environmental, circular economy is a substantial improvement common to both businesses and consumers. Companies that have implemented this system are proving that reusing resources is much more cost effective than creating them from scratch. As a result, production prices are reduced, so that the sale price is also lowered, thereby benefiting the consumer; not only economically, but also in social and environmental aspects. #EShipCafe #CommunityLedDevelopment #CircularEconomy #EconomicSustainability #BigAlConnolly

23.01.2022 Today is the start of something that will in time grow to be a household name. Today is the soft launch of some two years in the making by a small group of ded...icated people that thankfully welcomed me in as a shareholder in April 2019. Many long nights and significant efforts by all have lead to what will be a lasting legacy in both the tourism and veteran space. Today I am incredibly proud to launch Spinifex Brewing Co to my friends and colleagues prior to our official media launch in August and full production runs in October once my commitment and engagement to ADAMS and the 2019 Broome season is completed. SPINIFEX Brewing Co is a majority Aboriginal owned craft brewery. SPINIFEX Brewing Co is producing unique Australian beers developed and infused with the great flavours of Australia to make some of the most drinkable, flavourful and sophisticated beers you can hope to sample and love. You can read more about our story here https://www.spinifexbrewery.com.au/our_story Perhaps for me on a personal note, Today will be most significant as I announce the worlds first Military beer F88 Lager. SPINIFEX is a Veteran co- owned business and has established the F88 range of beers effectively a world first initiative aimed at raising funds to support our returned service men and women. Part proceeds of every single beer sold will be set aside in trust and a grant process established to support various military charities. You can read more about our F88 Campaign here https://www.spinifexbrewery.com.au/events Finally, Today I want to dedicate this announcement to my sister Tobi Barnard and her partner Geffrey Gregg 152 Signal Sqn who sadly succumbed to PTSD as a result of his service in Afghanistan taking his own life in September 2006. You can read more about his story here https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2007/05/suic-m03.html Please visit our website page @www.spinifexbrewery.com.au and like our Facebook page Spinifex Brewing Co Mick Little John Gibbs Steve Jansen Ian Hale Phil Mellon

22.01.2022 The path to a circular economy

21.01.2022 For many years until recently, Preston had consistently failed to deliver its full economic potential: it attracted very little inward investment between 2004 and 2008, and had suffered since 2008 as a result of the financial crisis and subsequent austerity measures. In 2013, Preston City Council and the Centre for Local Economic Strategies sought to reverse this trend. They started to reform the city’s public procurement processes by harnessing the potential of anchor institutions via community wealth building. In 2016, they managed to invest GBP4 million to benefit their community directly, and the Preston Model has since become an economic policy proposal for the Labour Party and a model for other small cities. #EShipCafe #CommunityLedDevelopment #EconomicSustainability #BigAlConnolly

It draws on our world-leading integrated modelling and assessment capabilities, plus the expertise of leaders from over 20 non-government organisations.
