23.01.2022 Kearney Architecture have pulled out all stops with this one, what a presence it presents for Community ASA Inc.on the Illich Park Precinct. 22.01.2022 Community ASA Inc. have engaged with a very special group of individuals and asked them to be our Ambassadors, the first of those that we would like to announce is Paul Warren. Paul's story, The Fighter, is an amazing read, we highly recommend it for those who haven't read it. The man is even more impressive in person. Paul will be part of our connection to the Defence force community, a mental health advocate and an all round inspirational mentor to the wider CASA community.... The Book: The remarkable true story Paul 'Warlord' Warren, the young soldier and former Muay Thai boxing champion, who lost one of his legs when an IED exploded during a mission in Afghanistan. A story of enormous courage, great determination and deep love. There were many dark times as Paul struggled with the shattering effects of PTSD, and guilt and grief over the death of his mate, Benny. At his lowest ebb, Paul thought about taking his own life, as so many other soldiers in similar circumstances continue to do. Recovery was a slow and at times desperately painful process, but the discipline and toughness he'd learned from his martial arts background and the fierce love of Dearne helped him mend. The Fighter is a story of courage, determination and love that will move all who read it. https://www.allenandunwin.com//The-Fighter-Paul-Warren-978 for further information; [email protected]

01.01.2022 At Community ASA we believe that disunion is created in communities when governing bodies do not keep pace with our changing world. Their focus on the continuous maintenance and improvement of social systems is often disturbed by areas of seemingly greater importance. When this happens, those who experience the greatest unrest are the most vulnerable in the community. This is a great unjust. Community ASA Inc. believe that by realigning this focus, by unifying every member of... the community to evolve together as one, governing bodies can empower their communities to work towards a sustainable future together. Our proposed community facilities are just one step towards a stronger, more unified Northern Queensland. By providing a sanctuary that welcomes all members and surrounding communities, both young and old. We are encouraging people of all different walks of life to come together as one to play, learn, relax, celebrate, laugh, and experience all in one central location. Discrimination, hate speech, exclusion will be meaningless when you enter our facility. And with continuous effort, we believe these values will inspire all areas of the community to do better, and live better together. Now, more than ever, communities need to stand together as one. So please feel free to work with us, help Community ASA Inc. unite Townsville and force change, if we continue on the same path, we get the same result, so lets work together for a better community.
