20.01.2022 The journey to Treaty continues, with a Community Assembly to be held in Melbourne, November 15 - 17 & November 29 - December 1. This is the next stage of consultation of Community, held at the direction of the Working Group to ask Community to share their views of the governance, entity structure and representation of the Representative Body. The Representative Body will be formed to facilitate negotiations of Treaty between the Victorian Aboriginal community and government. All members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community are invited to apply to the Community Assembly to share their views on how they would like to be represented. All members of the Community can stay involved in the Community Assembly, even if they are not on it, through the portal and online surveys and feedback forms. visit: http://communityassembly.com.au

19.01.2022 The first round of Community consultations were held in Oct Dec 2016, at 10 locations around Victoria. Community recommended how to Aboriginal Rep Body should be designed. The Rep Body will be built off 6 Model Elements, that will be informed by the Design Prinicples.

15.01.2022 In the 2nd round, Community also looked at potential Aboriginal Rep Body nomination processes. 3 ways candidates could nominate were recommended.
