This year's theme 'Always Was, Always Will Be.' recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. 10.01.2022 We've just announced the recipients of our latest COVID-19 Crisis Grants. More than 100 community broadcasting organisations around the country received a share of over $1 million to support them through the pandemic. The station highlights the importance of First Nations peoples in today's society, promoting true reconciliation through sharing cultural information and breaking down the barriers. Our friends at First Nations Media Australia are in town this week helping to live stream and broadcast Umeewarra events on indigiTUBE. For 30 years they been working with local people in language creating unique Aboriginal radio, video and music productions. They also provide media services to remote Indigenous radio stations across 14 Central Australian communities.
