23.01.2022 ENGLISH CLASS - This morning we had our last MONDAY beginner English class with teacher, Mary. A great turn out today- thank you for joining! We still have ONE more intermediate English class this week on WEDNESDAY morning via zoom at 9:30am. - Monday English class will be starting back up again in week 2, term 4 of school on the 19th October 9:30am (location still to be advised).

18.01.2022 Learning Dispositions at Yagoona Public School UPDATE for parents - The 4 C's committee at Yagoona Public School is working closely with Isabel in our Community Hub to help parents to develop a deeper knowledge of the learning dispositions which we are fostering at school. This will help parents become confident enough to use them at home.... Over the years, we have been developing students’ critical and creative thinking skills and promoting a growth mindset through the use of seven learning dispositions or learning behaviours. A common language around these dispositions has been developed at Yagoona Public School. We encourage students to use these dispositions in their day to day school life so they can respond to new situations and approach their learning with success and a positive attitude. At Yagoona Public School we use The Minds Wide Open Captain Disposition’s Superpowers for Learning as our learning dispositions. These are: I am Open Minded I am Resourceful I am Flexible I am a Risk Taker I am Patient and Persistent I am Reflective I am a Ubiquitous Learner To continue to maintain this common language of The Seven Dispositions, we encourage parents to gain a better understanding of their importance and begin to use them with their child. To help you, teachers have developed some scenarios to show you the different ways that these dispositions can be used at home.
