17.01.2022 Winter Winds by Jack Keegan 2020 On this windy winter day the city canyons are cold and we humans arent so bold... as we wish the changing winds away. Alone, above and slowly descending a gray pigeon surf the gusts like an eagle, with stubby wings half extending. If I believed in the divine I could imagine its a sign but what is it portending? What message are the old gods sending: A dark-gray eagle-dove, descending? Is it war or is it peace? The oracles cryptic blending ... The ominous downwards trending ... What does the future hold? What, indeed, can be foretold? Should I reassess my goals as the wind around me rolls and the world unravels and refolds?

13.01.2022 Poem by Jack Keegan Cant Get The Blues The radio sings about lost love... Im so numb I cant enthuse I cant even get the blues I see eyes I can not meet Ive got tears on my shoes And I cant even get the blues I see others on the street I walk alone. They walk in twos They dont think about the blues Another day. What can I say? Ive got to pay my dues One day Ill get the blues Life is like a slot machine You play too long, you lose But I still cant get the blues Im looking at the sky Im thinking about booze Even though Ive got em I still cant get the blues

11.01.2022 A Poem from a guest. Daring Do Listen to a feather drop ... Walk along a ledge Stand upon a mountain top See beyond the edge Feel the power of the sky See the world unseen You can do it if you try Live the magic and the dream Jump over the old stone wall Find that place, you know its there You can fly, no need to crawl Lightning thunders in the air Dance upon the tango floor Dare to think of Love once more
09.01.2022 Prayer for the Day Praise be to you Holy Love, For your love is uncontainable, Unable to be held captive, but free to all.... We come to you, Broken vessels in a broken world, We call on you for healing grace, Come Love, for in you we are made whole. The scars that we bear seem unsightly, But each has a story to tell of the path we have traveled. Be the balm that brings peace to our wounds, Be the love that helps us embrace the scars we carry. Christ walked the road of costly love, He bore scars inflicted through fear and hate. Yet his voice continues to call to your people, Come follow be fearless and love.

04.01.2022 Thank you Jack Keegan for sharing. Virus Poem # 1 The viruss gift of solitude... A forced gift to be sure It keeps me from the multitude Who live outside my door The virus has another gift One I do not seek Id rather not be sick Ill stay at home this week Ill stay at home a fortnight Or longer if need be I really want the virus To stay away from me And stay away from my friends And away from family I dont want their lives upset Or to test eternity I wish that more would act like me We would beat that virus quick But I cant make the others think So some will end up sick And some will end up dead we know From others lack of thought Ah, this gift of solitude What sadness it has bought The road ahead is bumpy Were still travelling up the curve We must work together And cooperate with verve

01.01.2022 Prayer for the Day Dancer of the Universe You dance through creation, Free to be,... Calling your people; ‘Come dance with me!’ The dance that we enter, brings challenges to all, The challenge to stand with those who cannot stand, The challenge to be the voice of the voiceless, The challenge to call for justice and peace for the whole of creation. The dance that we enter, is the way of new life; A dance of Wisdom, A dance of Truth, A dance of Prophecy A dance of Love A dance that welcomes us all. Not for the faint-hearted, The dance that we join, Is the dance of discipleship, Christ calls us on.
