06.01.2022 Maternity Reflexology - what is it? who should have it? why? Its definitely more than a simple foot massage, its a foot treatment, because we can work areas of the body that need improvement in blood flow, and when the symptoms of pregnancy have made you feel unbalanced, unwell and overwhelmed. It can also be used as labour prep, with induction techniques and acupressure. Perfect if you really don't like needles!! Most mothers can have Reflexology, irrespective of any medical... issues, unless they have complicated high blood pressure, very unstable diabetes, or blood clotting problems. Why? It is just THE BEST TREATMENT for all Mums to be or parents of Newborns. What I love most about it is that is absolutely amazing when it comes to reducing fears around conceiving or birth, and when there is stress, anxiety and depression. Or for couples who are just overwhelmed by the whole process. Just like your baby - human touch is important during your pregnancy, it helps you not only connect with your baby but the real you! Mothers often ask me: "why cannot I go into labour?" My Answer: "Are you holding on too tight? Can you truly relax, release and let go?" If you cannot baby wont come. They wait until they know you are ready, are giving some signs that it is time. They want you to be ready to RECEIVE them. "If you are still worrying about the birth then you cannot be ready for me to be born. I need to know that you are ready to love, hold feed me and tell me stories of what is to come". Focus on that Dear One, and let the birth take care of itself. You cannot control it, its already been decided. HAND OVER the power to your baby, he or she knows the way. Let baby lead... See more
