24.01.2022 This weeks Community Occasional Care Activity Pack is now available on the table behind the staff room at St Josephs School, Barmera. It is a Dinosaur themed pack that includes pre made play dough and pasta to support the activities. Thank you Shannon for preparing these. Dont forget to send a photo of your childs learning

17.01.2022 The Occasional Care children enjoyed Pancakes as the school celebrated Shrove Tuesday and a visit from the Adelaide Crows!

17.01.2022 We loved having Occasional Care back in action again....it looked like the children did too! I love how the simplest of things can be so engaging. We also welcomed Mrs Stacey Hunter to the Occasional Care team. Im not sure who had more fun, Stacey or the children!

14.01.2022 Community Occasional Care is available to all families in the community with children aged 2-5 years old. We are fortunate to have 2 excellent and qualified staff (Shannon P and Katie K) that provide excellent learning for children. They even go on excursions sometimes....here are some photo's from their visit to kindergym. Call 8588 6100 to book your child in...Friday's 8.50-1130am during Term time...$5 per session (first session free!)

11.01.2022 My apologies for the late update...we have been busily working on the plan to bring Occasional Care back as soon as possible whilst keeping to the governments recommendations. Watch this space! Shannon has prepared an outdoor themed Activity Pack. A Scavenger Hunt and Bird Feeder. Normally a bird feeder has peanut butter but she has also recommended a substitute. Packs are now available for collection

10.01.2022 We hope you are happy and safe. Shannon has organised individual packs that you can pick up from the school. A self contained Easter activity pack is waiting for you on the outdoor table behind the school staff room. The plan is that we will have weekly packs available for families. This week there are 12 Easter Activity Packs available. But if you want to reserve a pack in the future, send through a message and we will try our best to have one for those that want one. There is no charge for the packs. Even though Occasional Care is currently on hold, you are still a part of our community. Remember, you matter to us, we care about your learning and we care about you.

09.01.2022 It was great to have the Occasional Care children pop in to search, find and take home their Easter Basket. Though it was only brief, it was great seeing the children again. We hope to have an update regarding the return of Occasional Care soon!

05.01.2022 If you have been on the lookout for when Occasional Care is going to return....look on further. I am pleased to let you know that Occasional Care will return on Tuesday 26th May. But booking is essential 8588 6100. In following the regulations from the government, we are asking that children are dropped off at the gate, where they will be met by Shannon. We are trying to avoid having additional adults in the Occasional Care space. We appreciate that some children might need to be walking in, which we are happy to accommodate but if you dont need to, we ask that you dont. Hope you are as excited as we are to have Occasional Care back!

02.01.2022 We hope you enjoyed the Easter Activity Pack. This week we have Dinosaur Activity Packs. It will require adult support as children will be able to create their own wooden dinosaur skeleton model. There are 15 packs available. We would love for you to share your child's learning by posting a picture of them completing the activity or a picture of just the completed activity. You should be able to do this in the comment section Enjoy!
