25.01.2022 COMMUNITY OOSH SERVICE IS OPEN! At Community OOSH Services, the safety and wellbeing of our families and team members is, and always has been, our utmost priority. We are committed to maintaining that status. We are also committed to maintaining an element of normality and continuance in the day to day functioning of your child’s world so that there is something left on the other side for both them and yourselves, when this adverse situation has abated. ... Government Update: The Prime Minister and Chief Medical Officer have provided information regarding Australia’s response to COVID-19 which includes the suspension of static, seated events of more than 100 people for a sustained period of time. This advisory does not apply to Community OOSH Services as we offer predominantly an outdoor experience, which is not static, and at this stage the government requires our services to stay open in order to maintain functionality for all concerned. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at our venue or in our city. If or when such a situation occurs it will be dealt with according to the appropriate protocols. Family Safety & Our Protection Measures We will continue to operate with additional stringent hygiene and safety measures in-place. We have and will continue to undertake rigorous hygiene standards, cleaning procedures and health and safety standards including: Reinforced vigilance in hand washing throughout our services On-site first aid facilities with qualified first aiders always on duty Displaying the latest Safety Alerts for our families to keep up to date Close working relationships with emergency services and government Departments In addition to the above, to further strengthen our rigorous hygiene standards, we are putting plans in place to: Conduct additional cleaning of equipment and surfaces Provide updated additional hygiene signage in our centres Future Updates We will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and will provide further updates via this page and social media when available. 15.01.2022 In the interest of keeping as much normality as possible for you and your children in these very trying times, WE WILL BE REMAINING OPEN and operating throughout the remaining school term and during the school holidays. We are working closely with all the relevant authorities and maintaining the appropriate precautions with respect to the increased health standards. Unfortunately, due to restrictions placed on other industries and venue providers, our programs will have to be somewhat modified, but rest assured we will be keeping it real as possible for the kids!

15.01.2022 Services Australia is asking parents to update income estimates for 2020-21 Dear Families If you are eligible to receive payments from Centrelink, such as Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Family Tax Benefit (FTB), you may be asked to provide your family income estimate for the 2020-21 financial year.... You need to do this even though you aren’t currently paying child care fees. This is because Centrelink will use this estimate to work out how much CCS and FTB you will get next financial year. 10.01.2022 OPEN FOR AFTER SCHOOL, BEFORE SCHOOL & VACATION CARE The federal government wants childcare centres to stay open and has now provided a solution to ensure the sector can provide care to those who need it. Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he wanted people to keep working - especially essential workers - and didn't want a lack of childcare to stop this. "This virus is going to take enough from Australians without putting Australian parents in that position of having to choos...e between the economic well-being of their family and the care and support and education of their children. I won't cop a situation where a parent is put in that place with their kids," Mr Morrison said. All bookings for Vacation Care will be provided based on the PRIORITY OF ACCESS as we always need to ensure availability for essential workers. We encourage you to consider the reason you need the care and if it’s not for necessity you should consider your options. The Fortnight ending 3 April 2020 will be the last fortnight you will have an account until further notice. Statements for this period will be sent out next week on Tuesday 7 April. From 6 April Care will be provided at no charge through until the week ending 28 June 2020. It is very important that you know we are here to provide the necessary care for the families who need it so they can keep working. 08.01.2022 Dear Parents and Caregivers, Due to the constantly changing directions of government communication in this difficult time we are also obligated to provide updated communication to our families. We mentioned recently that there will be No Fees Charged for cancellations in Vacation Care, as it was our understanding that the Government was allowing us to wipe the Gap fee to parents through this period. We have now had this clarified that the removal of the Gap fee can only be ap...plied if we are instructed to close and any bookings on the system over the closure period would be entitled to the removal of the Gap Fee. We apologise for this misunderstanding and encourage families who have booked for Vacation Care already to check their bookings and cancel days they know they will not need. We have reverted to our original generous cancellation policy shown below. After School Care Up to 1:30pm the same day of booking for no charge Before School Care Up to 1:30pm the working day before your booking for no charge Vacation Care Up to 1:30pm the working day before your booking for no charge At this time we would like to assure you, that we will be open for Vacation Care at all 5 centres for all people who require care. 06.01.2022 Dear Parents and Caregivers To avoid confusion regarding the care Community OOSH Services will be providing in Term 2 2020 we have put together this simple guideline regarding our Services. Monday 27 April and Tues 28 April Pupil Free Days... Vacation Care is offered for the Schools who are closing for Pupil Free Days Before School Care and After School is offered if your school is going back on either of these days. From Wednesday 29 April for the rest of Term 2 Before School Care is offered if your child is going to school After School Care is offered if your child is going to school Vacation care is not available until the Winter School holidays Before School Care and After School Care is available for families who have sent their children to school due to work commitments. Our Before and After School Care Term bookings are considered permanent and carry on into the next Term. If you have a permanent booking for Term 2 for either Before School or After School Care and your work commitments have changed where you no longer need the care, please contact our office before Tuesday 28 April to cancel or amend these bookings. In its place PCYC, Fun Factory, Korora and Woolgoolga will be heading down to Urunga for a Picnic and a swim including hot chips for lunch. Grafton centre will be going to "The Peach Farm" for an excursion and children need to bring their own lunch.
