10.01.2022 We are proud to have been featured in this The Canberra Times article about the strike on Friday. After discussions with our staff, Community Shapers is proud to announce that we are supporting this strike, and endorse their three key demands: 1. No new coal, oil, and gas projects in Australia, including the Adani mine ... 2.100% renewable energy generation and exports by 2030 3. Fund a just transition and job creation for all fossil-fuel industry workers We have come to this decision out of a desire to support the school students in standing up for their future, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders standing up against Adani, fracking in the NT, and all fossil fuel projects that threaten Country.

07.01.2022 After discussions with our staff, Community Shapers is proud to announce that we are supporting this strike, and endorse their three key demands: 1. We will be supporting the strike by: -Not asking our staff to work that day; -Encouraging all staff to attend a strike event that day; and -Inviting all staff to support the school students by volunteering on the day We have also joined the This is Not Business As Usual alliance, where over 1,200 companies have publicly declared support for the strike, and will encourage staff to attend. We urge you to support the strike, too. Every participant is important in raising climate change in the public debate - we got covered in the Canberra Times. This strike will hopefully be the start of a new chapter where we get on top of the climate crisis and start building the world we hope to pass on to the students who are leading this. Everyone is needed, and everyone is invited. We hope to see you there.

06.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came to our event on Sunday and contributed to making the event a massive success! We hope you enjoyed getting together with local community groups as much as we did

05.01.2022 With the help of Actsmart - Canberra we have put in a new waste management system at our office, including mixed recycling, organic waste management, soft plastic recycling, and buying biodegradable bin liners made from corn starch for our landfill bin! We're having a great time training up all of our staff to use this system through some games we have designed. We look forward to learning more about how our workplace can be more sustainable at the Expo!
