03.01.2022 A message to our community, Over the last fortnight the ever evolving coverage of the COVID-19 virus has instilled great fear into the large majority of people and the effect of this fear is being felt by most businesses. Not only are the businesses feeling the economic strain, the flow on effect is also being felt by employees who may be experiencing reduced work hours or limited job security. As a community, it is now OUR job to collectively work together to support small l...ocal businesses within Western Australia and your own suburbs. Sadly over the last few weeks we have noticed a decline of customers within a number of our local cafes and boutique stores. Supporting small businesses is something that we feel passionate about When you shop small and local, youre supporting the businesses that strengthen and diversify our community. So what can WE as a community do to help?! Support local small businesses, avoid big chains. Stop at your local butcher, bakery, fruit and veg grocer etc. Concerned to go your local cafe or restaurant? Pick up the phone to call to see if delivery or pick-up service is available. Spread the word about your much loved small businesses and encourage friends, family and colleges to shop local. Purchase gift vouchers to be used in the future to keep small business revenue going during these quieter times. We dont wish to dismiss the risk of contracting the virus but as long as precautions are taken WA will survive.
