21.01.2022 The COVID-19 restrictions on grooming have had a massive impact on our four legged family members. If your fur baby is uncomfortable or their health is being compromised, we have a limited number of grooming places available with our fully qualified groomer Simone. As you can see, she will bring a smile to their faces. Please call us on 95805111 if you would like an appointment.

21.01.2022 Some great ideas to entertain your dogs during lockdown

20.01.2022 We have been getting a few enquiries lately regarding grooming. We would like to clarify that vet clinics can still groom if it is a welfare issue.

14.01.2022 We hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday morning! Get yourself a cuppa and watch our next edition of the ARV dog-life in lockdown videos with training tips! M...ental stimulation will tire your dog out much quicker than physical exercise and is a perfect addition to your lockdown routine. You can train almost anything, anywhere! A few additional tips: * make sure you use food reward as a reward, not a bribe! So, when teaching a new behaviour or trick, phase them out quite quickly * consider using your dog's daily food rations instead of treats to make sure you don't overfeed * shaping and training little tricks is a fun way of teaching your dog how to learn and deal with a little frustration * Brushing up on basic obedience and working on some extra manners that we usually don't get time for like not barging through doors or not jumping up can establish better boundaries and great habits * crate training is invaluable in teaching your pups about down- and alone-time! For more information of some basic training and our recommended dog trainers around Melbourne head to our website: https://www.arcticrescue.org.au/about/resources/training Thanks for watching! 10.01.2022 COVID update To the best of our knowledge, vets are still considered essential services and we will remain open to provide care to our patients. We can provide a letter confirming clients have an appointment at Community Vets to show police if they get stopped. Please remember to practice social distancing and be patient with us as we stagger appointments to keep us all safe.

08.01.2022 2020 has been a tough year for everyone. Our team here at Community Vets has been working tirelessly under the difficult circumstances of this year without complaint. We have been managing contactless car park consults, which is more time consuming and requires an extra level of coordination, and the team have stepped up immeasurably. We are incredibly grateful and proud to have this amazing team. ... But the truth is, we are all tired. To give our team a much deserved break, Community Vets will be closed on Monday the 2nd and Tuesday the 3rd of November so we all have a chance to just breathe. We know that this year has been tough on all of you too, so we thank you and really appreciate your understanding.
