23.01.2022 Weekly catch-up at the pool! Last Monday I caught up with a lovely group of people in the hydrotherapy pool. These friends catch up weekly at the pool for som...e ‘social and physical therapy’. Enjoying the warm water, music, exercise and chatting they make Mondays and Fridays their date-day at the pool before heading off for a coffee together. They say they all have an ailment of some sort - sore shoulders, arthritis, knee replacement - all benefiting from the therapeutic 34 degree warm water. Gentle exercise in the water helps us all, and we feel great for the rest of the day! It keeps us going. We’ve all been friends for a long time and look forward to having some social fun, so this is just perfect. Janet Phillips, one of the ladies in the group attends with her 90 year old mother, and often brings her grandson too! We just love it.

23.01.2022 Thanks to the short lock down we are able to OPEN the Community Wellbeing Centre again. The hydrotherapy pool is open now. The gymnasium will be open from this afternoon. Yay!

22.01.2022 Hydrotherapy Pool open on weekends! We are opening the Boandik Hydrotherapy Pool to the general public on weekends, starting this Saturday and Sunday. Opening times will be from 9am 12noon. Bookings are essential as there is a limit of 10 in the pool at any one time. ... For 1-hour pool use cost is $10 adult, $8.50 concession/child. Social distancing must be adhered to, with limits in changeroom to be observed. 15.01.2022 Pool time with babies Last week these gorgeous babies were enjoying a regular visit to the hydrotherapy pool with their mums. We love it here. It’s a great way to get the littlies used to water. The air temperature isn’t to stuffy and hot and the water is lovely and warm. We definitely recommend it to others. 09.01.2022 Pool time with great grandma Helen Dihm was enjoying some relaxing hydrotherapy pool time with her 6yo great grandchild Nyla on the 15th July. Helen who suffers from fibromyalgia said the hydrotherapy pool is the only thing that helps her with the condition. ... Nyla has chronic asthma and coming to the hydrotherapy pool has made the world of difference to her also she said. Nyla added it feels really warm and nice and is a good place to swim. It has now become a regular outing they look forward to, as they can both feel the benefits to their health, and it’s a lovely relaxing place to spend time together.

08.01.2022 COTA Strength for Life class A new group of super keen people have joined the Tuesday and Friday COTA Strength for Life class at Stafford’s Gymnasium in the C...ommunity Wellbeing Centre. Since starting up 4 weeks ago participants say they are already feeling positive effects from attending the class twice a week. John Buchanan I joined the class because I want to live longer and improve my fitness. I’m feeling a lot stronger, and breathing better already. Mary My motivation to join the class was because I want to get fit and stay fit. It’s great. I’m really enjoying it and can feel benefits already. 04.01.2022 No gas = no hydrotherapy pool We have had to CLOSE the hydrotherapy pool due to the gas issues Mount Gambier is currently experiencing. The pool is heated by ...gas, so without the supply we cannot heat the water to 34 degrees. The pool will be closed TODAY and TOMORROW. We will advise as soon as we are able to open again, when the gas supply is restored. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is out of our control.

03.01.2022 Time with nan First time in the hydrotherapy pool for Maureen and grand daughter 12yo Jade, and they said it was just wonderful! It’s more than we expected. The perfect temperature. Not stuffy air like other pools. The chlorine smell isn’t strong which is great. It is so relaxing. We will be back with more family members.... A great way to wrap up the school holidays!
