25.01.2022 The 14C’s are flying at the moment heading into the Christmas break having won 3 in a row and sitting in 3rd place. A super win on Saturday defending 93 with tight bowling and super fielding. Highlights were 19 to Beau Sherwood and 15 to Cole Jones. Special mention to Ajay Patel and Matilda Jenkins 10 & 8no respectively who had a 21 run 9th wicket partnership which proved the difference.... With the ball Ava Blackburn led the way with 2/4 off 4. Shaun Patel, Ajay and Matilda each got a wicket. Well done team!!

25.01.2022 The Como Jannali Cricket Club wishes to extend its condolence to the family and friends of Peter Burgess who died earlier today Peter has always been very generous to the Club and cricket generally. He consistently offered the use of the facilities at Lakewood and supported our efforts for better facilities. He had a genuine belief that these were community assets and was keen for them to be used by the community regardless of sport. Despite his association with football, P...eter and his family had a long association with cricket as a player and a parent. He often spoke of his enjoyment of the game when he was assisting the Club. He was a true friend of our Club and many of its members. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

21.01.2022 An update on where we are at with closing off last season and rolling into the next. As with everything at the moment, plans will change but this is how it stands at the moment 2019/20 Presentation/Year Book/Photos The Year Book has been produced, Trophies have been made and photos printed. We just haven't had a chance to get them out. Will likely occur close to the commencement of next season... Registrations 2020/21 Planned to open My Cricket for registrations from 1 August and I'll keep you updated once further details are known. 19.01.2022 The 12C’s were lucky enough to get a full game in, returning to the winner’s circle with a 29 run victory. Highlights with the bat Lucas Grundy 20no off 20 and Benjamin Gates 18no off 20. DJ, Luca and Chase also retired.... With the ball DJ 2/7 and Benjamin 1/4. 3 super catches were also taken by Chase, Luca and Billy. Photo is of Lucas who has spent a lot of time after training working on his bowling action. Love the technique Lucas!

19.01.2022 The 12D’s had a strong win yesterday winning by 46 runs The boys posted a competitive total of 2/94 with Archie, Luke, Miles and Jamie amongst the runs With the ball the boys jumped out of the blocks taking 5 early wickets and restricted the opposition to 48 runs. Liam led the way with career best figures of 2/9... Well done team!!

We are so proud of what you h...ave achieved this season, and wish you the best of luck for the match ahead. Both matches are being played at Mona Park, Auburn, on fields 1 and 2, kicking off at 10am Monday 21st December. It would be great to see as many of our other rep players and SSJCA community in attendance to support the teams.

07.01.2022 The Johnson Hess Award for demonstrating the Spirit of Cricket - Lincoln Potter. During the year the club was selected to be part of the Woman's T20 World Cup opening ceremony with our players having the opportunity to accompany the players on to the field. To assist organisers, and unprompted, Lincoln selflessly gave up his preferred in favour of another person. Cricket NSW and World Cup Organisers subsequently advised the Club that Lincoln's offer assisted them incredibl...y at the time and ensured that the event went off without a hitch. The organisers went out of their way to tell us of Lincoln's act and rewarded him with an Australian T20 cap signed by all the Australian players that participated in the game We are incredibly proud to have Lincoln as part of the Club and proud to recognise him with this award. He demonstrated exactly what this award is about and he is a credit to himself and his family.

04.01.2022 As everyone is aware, COVID put a stop to all the end of year celebrations when last season ended. The presentation night was delayed and eventually cancelled. Yearbooks were printed but collected dust waiting to be distributed; as were trophies and awards. As we approach the new season, we have taken the time at gradings to recognise some of our award winners and finally distribute the year book (let us know if you don't have one; it is also available online at http://www.comojannalicc.nsw.cricket.com.au//cjjcc_2019-20). We will separately post some photos of our award winners so as to recognise their achievements. Congrats to all players on the season gone and hope that you are looking forward to the season ahead

02.01.2022 JUNIOR GRADING details are now confirmed after trying to negotiate COVID and field availability Monday 7 September - 4pm-5.30pm at Box Road Nets - Under 14s Sunday 13 September - 9am-10.30am at Waratah Park Nets - Under 12s... Sunday 13 September - 10.45am-12.15pm at Waratah Park Nets - Under 10s Grading for Under 16s grading is not required At this point in time grading is not required for Under 13s Girls or Master Blasters. Grading Rules Due to Covid 19 and the various safety requirements required of sporting teams, the following must occur at grading this season: Advise us via email should you be attending grading. You must email us confirming your attendance before grading Attend 15 minutes before your grading time for registration sign in. Hand sanitiser will be available when signing in Must bring your own equipment to grading, especially gloves, protectors and helmets. Minimal number of pads will be provided BUT YOU WILL NEED TO WEAR LONG SPORTS PANTS TO GRADING TO USE THESE. Should you require equipment there will be a limited stock available for loan this season from our clubhouse at Scylla Bay Oval.
