25.01.2022 The second BADC finalist portrait by Sam Scoufos. This one is from his Lost Trades series and is called "Blacksmith" . Congrats Sam! Lost Trades Says Sam, These portraits were shot for the Lost Trades Fair at the Cobb & Co. Museum. This was a great collaboration with the Fair to document the craftspeople and artisans that participated in the weekend showcase. Alongside their portrait, I photographed their favourite tool that they used on the majority of their work. It was an... inspiring and wonderful couple of days. We will be featuring an image from each of Sam’s finalist entries each day leading up to the awards ceremony. Ellaspede Dust Hustle I set up an impromptu studio outside the starting gates at the event. As the riders came of the track I’d wave them down and get them off their bikes. Sweaty, tired, dirty and shaking from a massive wave of adrenaline I’d get them to sit calmly and snap 3 or 4 frames before they went on to the next track. ....
