Still not sure if we are going to be able to re-open down the track which makes it even weirder...to contemplate that all we might have are memories of you all and our 'George'...

21.01.2022 Just thought we let you all know that we will be open this Australia Day, hours as usual!! Cocktails will be $ 10 all day and all beers will be $ 6!!! The Australian Top 100 Hymns will be played....well not really but the Triple J Top 100 surely will!! So come and spend some time with us, relax and celebrate Australia Day!!!

14.01.2022 Hi GlobalVillagers, it's been a while that we have posted and it would be fair to say that we have hidden away from the world somewhat....chewing and trying to adjust to what has happened!! We seem to be getting used to the emotional roller coaster and managed to get away for a few days which was good!! Where are we at? Well still not much smarter or convinced as what we want to and there are matters outside our control that will also affect any future decisions, eg landlords... future direction and of course our own!! It's just so hard to come to terms with it all but we are tough and will work our way through it all!! Thanks so much for all the love, both local and international!! Obligado!!

10.01.2022 Morning all, a set of scorchers on the way so please stay cool and indoors if possible!! Access libraries or shopping centres if your cooling is not coping!! Of course you can always come to George to take shelter for a while, have a cool glass of water and read a book!! Stay safe everyone!!!!

06.01.2022 Soooo....the shop is empty and work is about to begin on fixing the building up!! After discussions and much soul searching, as well as needing $$, we have decided not to re-open George, at least not at the former premises!! We miss you all and know that you miss us, well our food and atmosphere!! We both have found work and will, for now anyway, graft away in paid employment!! Thank you for all the offers of pop-up opportunities at other licenced venues!!! Watch this space ...but, we are adventurous and a bit crazy so something will come up!!! Much love George & Stefan

04.01.2022 Well after another stellar week, we have escaped to Mildura for some pedicures, laughter and R&R!!! Soon to enjoy the best Pizzas and Antipasto at the Pizza Cafe, we are currently enjoying a Pinot Noir and Cab Sav #longlivehappytimes

04.01.2022 Just thought we would give you an update on the situation, the police investigation has shown the probable cause of the fire to be the fridge/freezer, we are now able to get inside and start the big clean.

03.01.2022 Last night a fire ripped through George causing considerable damage! We are therefore closed and remain unsure how long for! Thank you to all the people that have offered us comfort, the firies for doing a fantastic job and everyone else involved! Our hearts are heavy but we will push on!!

03.01.2022 Just reminiscing a bit and slowly accepting that George's will be but a memory! Still can't walk past the old spot but getting on with life!! Thanks for all the and kind words over the past months! We loved that you loved us! We are contemplating having our own version of George in a smaller way, invited guests and of course fantastic food and drinks but can't say too much yet!! Watch this space

We thought it would be nice to have candle lit dinners and of course a free glass of bubbly for the lady upon arrival and some culinary surprises We have 13 tables available for dinner so you best be quick and book...
