22.01.2022 Our Kokoda Barracks had their second apprentice Chef qualifying for 2020! Dale O’Connor has shown great determination to complete her trade in two years and 15 days and is a reminder of what hard work looks like. Her attitude and skill set saw her win last year’s Chef of the Year at the QLD STAR awards despite only being a second year apprentice. She has continued to develop into one of the best chefs the team has had the pleasure to work with. 20.01.2022 Janette Thomson previously worked as manager of the Emirates Lounge at Perth International Airport. When the lounge closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, she was offered the Hotel Manager position at The Esplanade Hotel in Port Hedland. Janette said she was excited to start her new role. I am very pleased to return to this environment/region at the Esplanade Hotel in Port Hedland. I pride myself on my passion and dedication to the hospitality industry. My role allows me to utilise my skills and knowledge, to support and develop the staff, enhance the overall experience for our guests and take the Esplanade Hotel to the next level of customer service excellence.
