16.01.2022 Compasswest helicopters scenic flights around Tom Price and the Karijini NP will cease operations after the 21st September 2018 due to other business operational commitments and a closing to the tourism season. We thank the visitors and customers that took our aerial tours over this great location and we also enjoyed the scenes. If you have an urge to do a lap around the area, please call soon.

14.01.2022 Hi to all the visitors, tourists and customers to Tom price and Karijini NP. Calls for scenic rides for the 2019 tourism season are starting to come in and with reluctance, Compasswest helicopters is still dealing with landing issues, permits and lease holds from DBEC (KNP) and the local shire SOA. These relentless issues have been going on for some time and we hope to have a resolution in the near future so that we can be operational all year around in Tom Price and the great KNP. Please feel free to call us for discussions or call into the CWH heli-pad on nameless valley road where longtime tour operator for the Pilbara region, Pete West (Flying Sandgroper Tours) can fulfil your need to explore the 2.5 billion-year-old geological formation and gorges. Thank you customers Cpt Neal Kent Compasswest helicopters 0427 407888

13.01.2022 We are no closer to bringing a CWH helipad and tour bus operators site on the corner of Banjima drive ,Karijini NP which would be a huge support to tourism operators to the area and heavily reduce transit margin time costs to tourists and visitors to the park. These parks belong to the citizens of WA and full support should be administered by public servants and the state government to give our business operators, visitors and customers what they want, activities, attractions and affordable prices. We have received 2 response letters from Minister Dawson ( Environment) stating negative support for our development applications in the KNP. The last letter dated 31.12.2018 haha

01.01.2022 Tourist operator alert: Compasswest helicopters application to establish a landing site 1 kilometre down from the ECO retreat on Banjima drive has been rejected by DPAW, disappointingly. The idea was to bring cheaper flights to visitors and guests to see the gorges and mountains, and the resort is where 90% of our calls come from. We strive to move forward and will finish off the season at the Karijini NP airstrip and Tom Price. Cpt Neal Kent Compasswest helicopters Karijini NP/ Tom Price

01.01.2022 Our last passengers for the 2018 tourism season that took a wonderful Wittenoom gorge scenic flight were Russel and Lynda Sutton from Tom Price. Their lovely gift was from Lynda’s Tom Price hospital colleagues, Russell’s MEM colleagues, Rio Tinto and their close friends from Tom Price. Thanks guys. 22/09/18
