In a challenging weekend across 3 races, Zac drove consistently and avoided multi-car incidents to claim his first race victory, along with second and fourth place results to take the overall round win. "To achieve what we have done this weekend is a really proud moment and I’m just ecstatic for myself and my team. It’s been fantastic,... a dream come true." Based on the coastline of Victoria's Gippsland, the Phillip Island circuit is just under 4.5km in length with 12 turns, 10 of which are defined here with speeds and braking data to illustrate how hard drivers push their Supercars' brakes to shave seconds off lap times. The current Supercars lap record of 1:32:0246 has stood since November 2013, and was set by Jamie Whincup at the Phillip Island 360 in ...a VF Holden Commodore. With only four major braking points and a tight race line from turn 2 to 5, watch for passing under brakes into turn 6,7, and 1.
