25.01.2022 Going to be a fun summer!!!

25.01.2022 This weeks fishing report! Well for the lucky guys who have there days off during the week I bet the fishing has been great. The weather has been terrible the last couple of weekends. With only the super keen anglers getting out. For those super keen anglers the fishing has been great... The big reports are coming out of middle harbour. With massive schools of salmon and plenty of good sized kings. Staff member Aiden braved the weather and got stuck into some nice kings. Whi...le soaking some livies he was throwing the Yakamito sinking stick bait around and managed a few nice kings. The young blood is a keen king fisho, so pop into store he may reveal a couple of secrets into using stock baits on these middle Harbour kings. With the amount of rain we have had over the past couple of weeks. The rivers are slowly recovering and clearing up. Darker heavily scented lures are a key to fishing in stained water. Also slowing down you retrieve is a must. The same thing also applies to the bait guys. If you are drifting try and slow that drift down as much as possible. The rain has some people excited and thats the bass guys. We havent had this much rain before as bass season in years. Also Warragamba Dam has opened the gates and letting water out for the first time in 5yrs. If I was a betting man there will be trout in the Nepean as we speak. With the big flush it will have cleaned out the system and the bass will be going crazy eating and waiting for your lures to smash.. DONT FORGET ABOUT OUT BASS COMP!!! Hawkesbury River With the run off from all the creeks the Jew are loving it. Fresh Hawkesbury squid is always a gun bait in the river. Plenty of big bream and flathead around dangar island. Cowan always fished well after the rains. The bait had pushed out a little but using your electronics you will find it. Sydney Harbour/Parra River Still plenty of kings up and down the river. Just have to find them and be persistent. If you can catch small cuttlefish thats the gun bait at the moment they seem to be keyed in on them. But plastics have been working a treat also. The good old sluggo has also been doing some damage on the Harbour kings... A few really nice sized flathead have been caught drifting and casting Samaki Vibes in the 85mm size. Botany Bay/Georges River Can be a tough system this time of year and with the added rain it can be a nightmare. The bridges out the front are fishing very well at the moment. Plenty of bait holing on them. Over the past week there have been a few 1m plus Jew being taken. On live Yellowtail. The drift out the front of pelican point has been producing some really nice flathead. Drifting with pilchard tails has been very productive. For a more detailed report pop into store and have a chat with our professional Staff.

22.01.2022 This weeks Fishing Report! So spring has sprung, and all the bass Junkies have been waiting for the 1st to get out and chase our beautiful hard fighting Bass. This is going to be an exciting season, we have not had this much rain leading up to a bass season in almost 5yrs. This will definitely bring a heap more fish up the rivers. It will also create a lot of different snags and will have cleared out a lot of the weed. WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO POST UP SOME PICS OF YOUR EARLY BASS.... Offshore Plenty of kings and not just rats guys jigging up meter plus kings off the peak and 12mile. The snapper down south have been going nuts and not just pannies. Customer Steve has been smashing the big ones check out the pics.. Tuna are still being caught off Sydney on the troll south east of Browns. If you are into Drummer they are in number up and down the coast they are a great feed and really fun to catch. Hawkesbury River The river has all but cleared up and is fishing really well. Plenty of bait in Broken bay and up on Cowan. Which in turn has brought a few nice fish. Jew up to 10kg being caught off Juno and in around Mooney Mooney bridge. Plenty of flathead drifting in along the front of Berowra. The early season bass are on the chew as long as the eps up around lower Portland. Botany Bay/Georges River Upper Georges is on fire with the Eps plenty of reports coming through with multiple catches. 3 paddle tails with 1/8-1/6 jig heads seem to be doing most of the damage.. Moving further down river into Botany Bay. The bait has seemed to push out and stacking up along pelican point. Guys bagging out on flathead. Wont be long until the kings will be In there feeding.. Up along the runways using squid strips plenty of bream and whiting. Just be aware the Jew have been hanging out along there also and have been busting guys off with light gear. Port Hacking With spring comes the warmer water. We have been seeing signs of good bait and tailor busting it up. With follows the kings. There have been some nice sized snapper along the 10m mark being caught on Soft vibes. Lake Illawarra If you are into your flathead, You need to get down there are some trophy flathead are being caught. The Yakamito SR Shady Shad has been doing most of the damage. Head down to see the boys at Compleat Angler Illawarra if you want to get stuck into the whiting. Ask for Haydens special scented worms the whiting cant resist them.

18.01.2022 This weeks fishing report!! Well coming off a weekend of Terrible windy weather, offshore fishing was not the best. I bet all you offshore boys are stinging to get out. The water is looking good off ulla dulla and batemans Bay for a crack at some yellowfin. However if you are a River junkie like myself not only has the fishing been great the boat traffic has been at a minimum. So get out there next time its blowing a little. There is always a place in the river you can get o...ut of the wind and have a great day. Usually the fishing is firing the fish have a lot more cover from the disturbance on the water then glassed out conditions. Hawkesbury River Heading a little further up river the Jew have been chewing. Target the run out tide especially around the feeder creeks. They have been sitting on the drop offs and waiting for bait fish being pushed out of the creeks. Still plenty of bait holding in Cowan you just need to find it as it has been moving around while the water is clearing up. Bar point has been fishing really well on the run out tide as well. Plenty of nice sized flathead being caught. Im the mix is some cracker 1kg plus bream being taken on fresh squid strips. Sydney Harbour / Parra River The king fishing has just been on fire at the moment west of the Bridge and middle harbour. Live bait and lures are both working. They are sitting a little deeper so you may have to drive around to different structure points to mark them up. However when you find them they are in good numbers. The salmon schools are still hanging out the front and with the weather looking good for this weekend great time to chase them on light spin gear or fly. Botany Bay/Georges River The river is finally starting to clear up a little. Which give anglers more confidence with better water clarity. Out the front of the bay plenty of squid around Kurnell as well as small cuttlefish. The decision has to be made as always do you keep the squid for a feed or head over to The point and drop them down for bait where there have been rat kings being caught. Its been a little quiet on the Jew front in the river this week. With only a couple of reports of Jew being caught. I would say its from the super cold nights we are having and those Jewie guys are choosing to stay in. Plenty of Bream and flathead drifting along the front of Kyle Bay. Prawns and pillie tails have been your best bait of choice. For you off shore guys. This is Rushs pick for the weekend.

17.01.2022 Make those weekends spent at the kids sport more comfortable with some great deals from Oztrail. OZtrail Australia

16.01.2022 This weeks Fishing report. Its all about bass this week. We are 10 days into the season and there on the chew. Spring time is such a fun time to chase these guys. They take such a variety of lures. If your a surface junkie like me, Zman frogz and buzzbaits are my go to. The cicadas will still work however they will be more effective in a month. I personally think this time of year Beetle spins with small grubs or paddle tails and Spinner baits are the most effective way to ...target bass. If you havent been out yet dust off the bass gear and get into it.. DONT FORGET OUR BASS COMP THIS SEASON! Nepean River The amount of small bass hanging out around Windsor is insane. Small blades thrown into deeper water has been picking up both Bass and EPs. The bigger bass have seemed to move further up. The water levels are still quite high down stream of warragamba and is producing some nice flow. Sydney Harbour/Parra River Im not to sure if you guys are sick of hearing about the kings in the Harbour. However they havent left all year. With the water warming up all thats happened is that there is more and the size is bigger. Middle head has been the most productive. The fly guys have been smashing them, With fish close to a meter being caught. For the bait guys live Cuttlefish and squid has been the most effective. If you cant catch livies cube up some pillies and you are in with a good shot. With multiple fish being caught in one session. Please be aware of bag and size limits with these guys as Fishieres have been checking boats.. Botany Bay/Georges The bay has been a little quiet this past week. There havent been any serious reports coming out of there. However the kings should be turning in numbers up around Molineaux Point. There was a couple of rats caught out there this week. Totally different situation moving up along the river. Plenty of bait holding between Como and Tom Uglys Bridges. Drifting with fresh bait will pick you up a nice feed of flathead and Bream with maybe a chance of a Jew. Heading right above the weir. The bass have moved up into the fresh with some nice bass being caught. Surface fishing is still a little hit and miss however beetle spins and soft plastics have been working well. Port Hacking. Id starting to fire up. The bream are starting to move up onto the boats the salmon have moved in as well as big schools of tailor. The big kings should be turning up any day.
