25.01.2022 When you go to a website do you prefer a navigation button on the the left or top?

24.01.2022 In the last 2 weeks we have been involved in the resurrection of a clients server environment that had been hit by ransomware. We had already been onsite to migrate environments prior to the infection taking hold before installing their replacement server. This prompted this post, ensure that for all you running Windows on your computers have an up-to-date antivirus package running. One we can recommend is Bitdefender free or if you wish the full cloud version, precautions are paramount!

23.01.2022 We will be open during the Christmas period should anyone require our services.

15.01.2022 Here are some of the photos of the installs we have done recently for a tricky electronic display system we had in Tinana. The first image is of some fabricated brackets which had to be made to ensure that the screen would be secured safely. This was a collaborative effort between Sarah & myself (mainly Sarah's insistence on the design - good choice)!

10.01.2022 Yes, we will be open during the Christmas period.

08.01.2022 How many people have a decent anti-virus/anti-malware package running on your computers? Does it detect malware efficiently? Albeit that we cannot force you to use a paid license package it really is something that you should consider. We actually strongly recommend Bitdefender Gravityzone, it is monitored 24/7... Constantly updated to ensure that your data is safe!

07.01.2022 We don't only work on standard systems, we also work on specialised equipment. In this case a computer module from a Samsung signage display.

07.01.2022 With Microsoft dropping support for Windows 7 in January of next year what are you going to do? Whilst Microsoft are pushing users to migrate to Windows 10 there is another option, convert to Linux operating system. Before you think that it would be a steep learning curve for you, you would be wrong!... We can look at what particular "flavour" would suit your needs and never have to worry about viruses again! Also not have worry about the irritating updates being pushed by the MS servers. No small claim! Message is for more information.

05.01.2022 For those of you who require masses of amounts of storage on your desktops/laptops have you considered the possibility of having a NAS (Network Attached Storage) in the home network? Depending on the requirements you could purchase something like a Netgear or Synology device which would work well however the costs are inhibitive. If you have a spare unused computer (preferably a desktop) in your storage we could build a device that would not only be more cost effective but co...nsiderably more storage! The software we use is freely available and many options included! If you're interested please have no hesitation in contacting us to discuss your needs.

05.01.2022 For those of you who are running a business that is trying to get off the ground, one consideration is what accounting package to use. There are many licensed packages you can use however have you considered using something that is no cost? There is an online accounting suite called Free Accounting Software (https://www.freeaccountingsoftware.com.au).... This was developed by accountants! Well worth the effort of checking it out.

04.01.2022 As with our previous post, we will be available throughout the holiday period even on Christmas day & new year's day.

04.01.2022 A recent issue that one of our client's has been afflicted with has brought to light how much a point of backups & a serious anti-virus/anti-malware should be a part of any business/not-for-profit. We were brought in to improve their network environment. Low & behold in the middle of the improvement the site was subject to ransomware. Luckily we had only just created a backup of the virtualised environment after many hours of transfer to external hard drive! The ransomware in... question was a variation of the Dharma strain. Unfortunately there is no known way to decrypt files affected. We cannot stress more emphatically have constant backups, even have a co-location backup safe-guard in place should the on-site be infiltrated. Veeam Backup & Replication 10 is the most recent release from this reputable company. They have releases for MS Windows server systems as well as Apple Mac & Linux systems. Very configurable! We recommend for anti-virus/anti-malware Bitdefender Gravityzone Business Security. We can design a suitable combination of both platforms to suit your needs. Just call us!

03.01.2022 We have touched on this topic previously however how many of you have considered implementing a Network Attached Storage (nas) in your home/small business? Whilst there are commercial devices available it is not at all difficult to build one (or have us build it for you). There are a number of open-source/freeware platforms available which include a variety of add-on packages which compliment the installation such as a Plex media server for any movies you have paid for at th...e ready! Use your smart TV/phone/media player to access your content from anywhere in your house or by way of Wi-Fi access point, in your backyard! Food for thought for those still in self-isolation. We're only as far as a phone call away!
