ARI Survey t...eams have just this week completed collection of Macquarie perch broodstock for breeding at Snobs Creek. Macquarie perch were once common throughout rivers in the Murray Darling Basin but now only exist in a few isolated locations and to be able to observe this secretive fish in aggregations like this gives an insight into what we could see in many of our rivers with increased recovery efforts. VFA is working with its partners like ARI and NECMA to recover this beautiful species so that future generations can see and catch them again.
