15.01.2022 UPHILL LUNGES. Uphill lunges are a modified version of the already tough lunge exercise and is aimed to reduce strain through the lower body joints (knees in particular)! Extra effort is needed through the back leg to drive up the hill, providing emphasis to different muscle groups in comparison to the traditional lunge. Tips to remember:... + Perform each lunge in a controlled mannerslower is better! + Maintain a tight abdominal wall to support the lumbar spine. + Emphasize even weight distribution between both legs. + Do not allow the forward knee to extend beyond the toes. (One of the ladies got a little lazy with this in the video) + Maintain focus at least 10-15 feet ahead and keep hands up to assist with stability if needed. See more
