25.01.2022 Not happy with the service from your current lender? Been knocked back for finance? Just want to know what other options are out there? Recent MFAA data (see linked article) shows an increase in the broker market to 55.7% of mortgages... yes, more people get their loans through a broker, than going direct through a bank. As policies and servicing has tightened, this is a reflection of the great outcomes brokers deliver everyday for our clients!... Get in touch for a second opinion, it could be well worth your time

Id always recommend a building inspection before signing on the dotted line, but Im also here to help after your home loan settles. Ask me about how I can help with financing your renovations. https://www.mebank.com.au//perils-of-buying-a-house-with-/

22.01.2022 Im often asked about what is going on in the industry, so thought it might be prudent to share... The financial services sector has seen a lot of investigation, media reporting and policy and product change with lenders in recent times. A new report from Deloitte has found that the proportion of loans being written by brokers nationally, has increased from 53% to 55% over the past 12 months. Yes, more loans are being written by brokers than by the banks directly and this is... continuing to grow! Deloittes Heather Baister has said we are seeing a clear choice by consumers that they want to talk to mortgage brokers. When we think about the consumer choices and the decisions they are making and how they wish to engage with the industry and lenders, clearly mortgage brokers are still very much at the forefront there. Despite the media spin amongst all of these recent commissions, reviews and investigations (across the industry, including the banks), brokers have time and time again been found to have provided an outstandingly positive outcome for consumers compared with other sectors and are continuing to increase our market share. At this point in time, nothing has changed in terms of broker offering to consumers. If you have any questions regarding lender policies or product changes, please feel free to ask. Id like to take this opportunity to thank all of my clients and supporters. I really do believe that brokers are essential in our economy and provide an advocacy and comparison service unlike anything else... When was the last time you heard a bank say "sorry, we cant help you, but Bank ABC would better meet your needs and at a better rate"?!
