06.01.2022 We've reached '888' Likes on our Page!! Yeah and thanks to all our Facebook Profile Fans. But did you know that if you have a Facebook Page, this number doesn't include any other Facebook Pages that like your Page, only Facebook Profiles are counted. Thanks again Fans... ;) Tracy

05.01.2022 Facebook recently introduced another metric in the New Insights called "Negative Feedback." For each piece of content you post on your page, you can see the num...ber of "People who hid your post or gave it negative feedback in their news feed." (See screenshot: click on Insights in the left menu of your page > for each post there is a column for Engaged Users, click that number and a pie chart pops up along with the amount of negative feedback). Knowing how many fans hid certain posts from your page in their New Feed is certainly a very valuable metric; by tracking this number, you can begin to fine-tune your posting frequency, post types, and topics. [The #1 reason fans hide posts from Pages in their News Feed is that the posts are too frequent. The #2 reason is that the posts are off-topic.] However, what's completely baffling at this stage is, what exactly does "negative feedback" mean?! If you look at your own News Feed and find a post by a page, then hover over the top right of any post, click the "x" and the three options are: 1) Hide story, 2) Report story or spam, 3) Hide all by xxx. (See TechCrunch example in the screenshot). Does this mean, then, that "negative feedback" is the number of fans reporting your posts as spam?? If so, why wouldn't users just hide or unlike the page? By the way, in the Old Insights, you could always see the number of fans who had hidden ALL posts from your page in their News Feed. You never knew which post triggered the hiding (unless you only made one post that day); the Old Insights only shows a total number of hides for the day. This number was previously called "Unsubscribes." (In the Old Insights, see Interactions > then the purple graph in the first chart). Both AllFacebook.com and Simply Zesty report that this new negative feedback metric is a form of "sentiment analysis" - I'm not sure I quite agree, unless and until Facebook give us a better explanation of what exactly counts as "negative feedback" vs. hides. http://www.allfacebook.com/facebook-insights-now-feature-ne http://www.simplyzesty.com//facebook-insight-now-has-sent/ I'd love to hear your thoughts -- what insights do you have into this new "negative feedback" Insight?! :) (If you don't have it yet, it may be that Facebook is still testing the feature).
