25.01.2022 Day 2 of The Long Run. PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS MONTH: Poor preparation. As yesterday was a crazy busy day- a 12 hour work day and then a charity yoga class ...to teach at night , I failed to get out and walk my required 2.4km for the day. A total of 72km for the month of September is required. No bother! Got up at 6am this morning to double up my mileage. However: 1. Did I check the weather report? 2. Did I wear a rain jacket? 3. Did I cover the required Kms? NO! NO! NO! Epic fail x3. Just like if you don’t prepare well for your surgery for prostate cancer. You may be in for a flood and a feeling of being somewhat bedraggled...a lot of the time! BUT.... There’s always tonight. And tomorrow! Come join me if you wish! https://www.thelongrun.org.au//PROSTExercise4ProstateCance

08.01.2022 Men's Health Physiotherapist Dr Jo Milios and Sexologist & Nurse Practitioner Melissa Hadley Barrett have joined forces to bring you an informative Podcast series linking science and real stories from the everyday man, "by kickstarting a conversation on any topic starting with ‘P’ that may impact on male health. The list is vast- from penises to prostates, premature ejaculation, performance anxiety, persistent pelvic pain, pee and pooping problems, pelvic floor dysfunction or... prostate cancer. The list is endless. There is a cultural shift happening men are happy to talk, but how and where do they start a conversation about problems in their private parts? At the pub? By the pool? On their push bike? Not likely. So that is why we have started The Penis Project. Their first episode will be released very soon where you will hear Phil’s journey from prostate cancer diagnosis through treatment and to his return to normal life". we will be posting a teaser for episode 1 shortly!
